I love this new style, it was very beneficial for me. I didn’t notice that this was for sleep when I started it to listen to while doing my homework, but I think it’d definitely be good for that too. Cortisol is a byproduct of the medication I’m on, generating amplified levels of stress. Which creates some rather annoying ticks (e.g. tongue grinding) that are often even more extreme while I’m focusing on something, not to mention just being emotionally unpalatable after a while. ASMR, Ambiance, or LoFi often helps a bit by shifting my mood without being very distracting, but rarely has a significant impact on the ticks. Very quickly after starting this I noticed an extreme mood shift, and feeling significantly more relaxed. Which resulted in the ticks stopping entirely after a couple minutes, with only a couple instances where they started to creep back, but not lasting longer than a couple seconds. Now that it’s ended I also notice the effect lasts too. I considered sleep music in the past to help like this, but if they work at all they usually result in a sleepy mood, decreased focus, and the work taking twice as long. While still not helping significantly with the ticks. Not only did this playlist help with the ticks and gave me a calm thoughtful mood, it didn’t hinder my focus at all. If anything I was more/hyper focused because there weren’t the ticks serving as a distraction. Completion time seems to be about the same as it was before I started playing this, but it was definitely a more pleasant experience. Although it did feel like I was taking longer, I actually completed slightly more than the work I had before in slightly more time. Likely the annoyances I normally experience simply create a pause for the information I’ve read to absorb a bit more, where as without the ticks I instead notice when something hasn’t instantly sunk in and ruminate on it as long as the tick would distract. Leading to my feeling as though the work is taking me longer to process.

I could listen to the water bottle and bamboo mat scratching with all their echoey goodness for hours! The whole video was good but those two specifically were *chefs kiss* amazing! SO relaxing!!! I’m definitely going to watch the bamboo mat part on loop when I sleep tonight! 😌💤 Side note: HELP!! Does anyone know if there’s a video with a longer ‘echoing bamboo mat scratching’ part? I suffer from several neurological disorders that are painful and make me really sensitive to noise. To the point that noise is actually painful but that part really relaxed me and wasn’t harsh on my eardrums at all. Just want to hopefully find someone that can help me find similar videos that they may know of. Tapping tends to be too harsh for me a lot of the time but the scratching isn’t depending on the material. I can’t listen to fast, loud or harsh tapping at all.
