Aussie ASMR Man

Aussie ASMR Man

5 жыл бұрын

An Australian man's voice (#AussieASMRMan) is quietly whispering as he describes #BreakfastCereals. Autonomous sensory meridian response (#ASMR). He discusses the history of breakfast cereals, plus looks at common Australian breakfast cereals. He then shows and discusses the breakfast cereal options at two supermarkets in Australia. Next, he shows and discusses the breakfast cereal options at a USA supermarket and looks similarities and differences between the two countries. All the discussion is done in a quiet whisper
This video uses the Blue Yeti microphone for the audio. The video portion is recorded on a Olympus Stylus camera.

Sanitarium is an interesting company name, way back when sanitariums were the name for psychiatric hospitals. I mean back then they didn't really resemble hospitals, they were more like prisons for people with mental illnesses, but either way it's an odd name for a company that makes cereals.

There's a lot of interesting history behind breakfast cereals, they were first created by and for sanitariums and there are many theories (not sure how many are true) that Kellogg created his cereals as treatments for his patients. Pretty sure the rumor that his corn flakes being used as anti-masturbatory food has been debunked but there was a strong religious and health backing behind cereals, super interesting to research. Again, not sure how much is completely true but it's still a really interesting history to look into.

Martina Todorovic sure but people are terrible at portion sizes. The values given on the packages are ridiculous. Try weighing out a 30g portion and compare that to what you’d normally eat. According to some googling the average is 2 - 2 1/2 times the “recommended” so ~80g. Eat that with 200ml of milk and you’re already up 400 calories...

“Security to section ___” is a tactic that is used to proactively deter shoplifting. It’s normally recorded and played at regular intervals, but is sometimes announced live. There’s no actual issue. It’s just to scare people who are shoplifting (the most astute stores have security watch for people quickly going to the exit without buying anything) and it’s a deterrent for people who might think about shoplifting in the future.

Just for interest. What part of Australia is the largest producer of grain? I like your videos. Keep up those tingling ASMR videos.

It's odd that Weet-Bix is called Weetabix in UK. Rice Bubbles are also called Rice Crispies.

When I used to eat cornflakes I'd usually pour a cup of sugar to them. Since they were too bland no flavor.
