We actually weld them on at work, but we also have hundreds of the same sizes laying around. Having one available with a washer on the back makes some fasteners far easier to manage when you need to have the head of the bolt held by the wrench and not the nut itself. I wouldn't do it for anything at home, but for quick volume production it has its uses.

@jameshall1300 Definitely I was a mechanic in the military. Worked on construction equipment. My box was full of " modified tools" for special purpose jobs. In general you can just use a socket if your going to do this with a wrench. But if you have low clearance and are doing the job often yah it'd be worth grabbing a bargain wrench and welding something on

Don’t drive a bolt into wood, that’s what wood screws are for, screw threads have two different diameters. Minor and major. Drill your pilot hole to the minor diameter and the wood won’t split when you drive it in and the threads still have their entire strength. For nails same thing applies but your hole should be slightly undersized. Also a new broom is like fifteen bucks... 25 if you’re feeling fancy.

Ive done a lot of physical work in my life and the only "hack" here remotely ok is tapping over the floating floor plank, but even that is unlikely to work due to most brands having a locking system that would not let you slide a piece over in that fashion

If you need to pass wiring through an already existing conduit tying a magnet to end of a wire and using another magnet to pull it through conduits is the easiest way. I know from experience of having to run 400ft of new wiring through conduits

The washer on the wrench is an interesting trick but I'd just use a ratchet. And if I did want a wrench for that particular situation, I'd weld the washer on. Gluing it just seems like borrowed time...
