I'm sorry for the lower-than-normal quality of my voiceover. I'm trying out a new mic (a smaller one that I can travel with), and we are not quite frends yet, Mr. Tascam and I.

No worries at all! Hope the two of you get more acquainted :)

Slightly low fidelity is nice, reminds me of the old days of ASMR. It smooths out the noises in a way where things that might stand out and disrupt relaxation are less noticeable.

I really didn't notice any lessening in quality of sound...granted, I was listening through my car stereo on the way home from work, so a lot of the more subtle sounds might have been lost. Will have to listen again later on my noise-canceling headphones.

Asmr and mics isn't all about quality. Sometimes the "wrong" setting can make the sound very unique. Love the video

Integrating this concept into D&D or another RPG because this is an intriguing concept, your storytelling really brought it to life!

I really like the concept of these maps. I could use a few of them, for storytelling purposes when I travel. Also, I much enjoyed the stories and locations in the audio. You describe them in such a clever way that they brought to mind quite vivid images of various locations I have imagined while reading books and stories...as well as a fairly large map I drew myself, long ago, of the homeland of the dragon merchant...

Ignore me if this is too forward, but how did you get into this vocation? Did you just have a good voice for it and the shoe fit? Or was this something you worked for? Me and many of my friends learned to voice act in peculiar ways. Most commonly because of D&D, but I picked it up for narrating an audiobook. What about you?

It started when I discovered ASMR, and the interest I developed for it made me want to start my own channel. I started out with ambience videos, because I didn't want to be on camera. Eventually I made ASMR sci-fi videos where you could see the bottom half of my face, but I found them difficult to make and very time comsuming to edit. I also made a lot of changes to my first channel, and was struggling to choose a niche/theme for my channel. I didn't like being in front of the camera at all. Eventually decided to start afresh with a new channel, and only make audio roleplays. It was interesting, fun and something I was able to keep up with over time. Speaking slowly and softly was a matter of training. I'm a lot better at it now than in the beginning. But still, my voice gets tired after about 20 minutes, and the voiceover requres a lot of detailed editing, removing mouth sounds, repeating words/sentences and then choosing the best one in editing etc.. it's not all one take, and the most boring and time-consuming part of making my videos are editing the voiceover. When it comes to storytelling - well, I've always loved reading and writing. I wanted to be an author for the longest time (and I still might be, one day). I studied comparative literature at university, but ended up working with something completely different. This channel is a creative outlet, I can get my creations out there without deadlines or any sort of pressure to perform, and get feedback, all while remaining anonymous and not exposing myself at all. And I'm pretty happy with that :)

@@nightmotherasmr well, It's a nice thing i think that your creative outlet is so consumable for your followers. Good luck with your ambitions, and I hope you'll keep finding time to read us our bedtime stories. Because we appreciate it. I'm well aware of how difficult it is to author something, but you clearly have the talent.

For your efforts If I may ge so forward. You mentioned you've long wanted to author something. I'm certain you've poured your narrative ideas into your video scripts so far. I think it would be wonderful if perhaps you wrote a scene set in the world you envisioned for your book. Perhaps even a series of videos which tell a story in a similar way. Simply an idea i thought of. Feel free to ignore this comment.

Wait... You can enter the map with lucid dreaming? The potion shop is selling lucid dreaming potions! If these shops are anywhere near each other, talk about synergy!
