This very Christmasy December magazine is so fascinating! I have never seen a magazine quite like this. I guess it is an old fashioned "People" type of magazine, except that this is only about Hollywood actors. The sound of these pages are unique as I had to be very gentle with them. 1945 is a long time ago. Yellowed pages of history gone by. What a surreal experience. Enjoy this with me.

Oh my goodness Rebecca my Momma used to put maple syrup in her coffee too! It was always on the table growing up as She and Pops used to make maple syrup themselves every year almost, I always enjoyed the lighter less sweet syrup but they preferred the very dark very sweet stuff, so you aren't alone with the maple syrup coffee thing it takes me back to her kitchen table thank you for always reminding me of her when I need it most 😊❤ also the magazine was neat too, I love vintage things so much

@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction it's alot of work making the syrup but very worth it, I just know you and Momma would have gotten along picturing you coming for a visit and her warmly welcoming you and making you coffee and offering some of the goodies she kept on hand for visitors warms my heart up, you both share the welcoming sweet spirit, back to the syrup the work involved is crazy you have to tap the trees and run sap lines Momma and Pops both took turns many a night out in the sugar shack keeping the wood stove going hot a requirement for cooking down the sap and extrcing that sweet stuff we know and love, one memory i also have is when Momma would scrape the hardened crystals of syrup off the pans and give it to me as a treat I was a sugarholic back then and paid for it I'm a diabetic now no fault of theirs of course but I have no self control when it comes to treats or delicious food

Oh dear! I hope you can get back to sleep. As a matter of interest, since you mentioned it, that book and movie called Rebecca, were so good! I loved them both! I think that movie was made close to the time that this magazine came out. I just looked it up. The movie came out in 1940. The lead role was played by Joan Fontaine. She was the sister to Olivia de Havilland. 😍
