As someone who spends a lot of time in hospital clinics due to numerous medical conditions I have to live with, its surprising how many times I've not had many of the usually depicted cranial nerve tests done in real life. But I was amused when some doctors in training asked me to hold my hands out to test balance recently, never been asked that before, so I instantly associated it with ASMR rather than actual medical practise... Caught me off guard a bit. Your comment at the end about having too many cranial nerve exams made me laugh out loud though. If only!
