If a female asmrtist put a ton of time and work into her vids (think Gentle Whispering, Latte, WhispersRed) and 90% of the comments were from dudes objectifying and oggling them, we would call those dudes creeps.

The US citizens watching like “national insurance number” 👁👄👁 the. What!?
@JamesMatthewASMR4 жыл бұрын
The most we pay in the U.K. is £9 as a set price for any/all prescription medication and healthcare is free for everyone. I don’t like to get political in the comments but I’ve seen some US politicians argue against universal healthcare by saying the quality of care is terrible here but that’s simply not true. The health services in this country, while stretched right now, are absolutely incredible. They’ll give you the care you need, for as long as you need it and you won’t get a single bill through your door wether you stay in hospital for 2 hours or 4 months. Universal healthcare is a basic human right imho 🙏 ok back to the video 😂
@Guardian__Angel4 жыл бұрын
@@JamesMatthewASMR Sorry to say that but comparing the NHS to the US health care system is apples and oranges. One is universal, the other is private-based. It's only fair to put the British NHS in the context of other universal health care systems in Western Europe where, sadly, the NHS has traditionally ranked at the bottom in terms of efficiency and quality.
@JamesMatthewASMR4 жыл бұрын
@@Guardian__Angel hey man, a couple of things: I’m by no means championing the NHS as the absolute best example of a flawless universal healthcare system, it for sure has its issues, not helped by 11 years of conservative cuts hacking away at its budget. The U.K. generally ranks within the top 10-15% of the worlds healthcare systems which still makes it among the best in the world, but as you said Germany, France and other EU countries are generally seen to be even better on that front. Both of those countries do have universal healthcare though, which was the crux of my point :) Also I’m not sure I accept comparing 2 countries healthcare systems is comparing apples with oranges when the discussion revolves around citizens access to healthcare. I’d say it’s comparing Apples with Apples, with two different pricing/funding models. Obviously it’s a complicated topic with no blanket one size fits all answer, but free healthcare should be available to all citizens of a country. Rich or better off folks don’t have a monopoly on living a health life and nobody in need of care should have to second guess themselves before calling an ambulance because they can’t afford the treatment they need. I’ll leave it at that because politics kinda drains me but I did wanna make that point as it’s an issue close to my heart x
@Guardian__Angel4 жыл бұрын
@@JamesMatthewASMR The US health care system is by all means a pretty low bar for the NHS or any other universal system for that matter. I agree with you on that. What I don't quite agree with is the way any discussion in Europe starts with the inevitable bashing of the US system as if this is at all relevant in the context of the European consensus on universal health care.
