Hi guys - a bit of backstory for this one and a few things: First off, how do you guys find the audio here? I switched to some new portable mics as this isn’t in my house it’s in my art studio, I’m really happy with the audio, did you notice a difference? Secondly, outside of KZbin I do this kind of thing: realistic busts/sculptures for everyone from private collectors to galleries to conventions so it seemed like a natural fit. I was already friends with some of the Madame Tussaud’s Blackpool team but they very kindly brought in some of the managerial team to discuss this, and they were extremely kind and helpful. You’ll notice I’ve not marked this as a paid sponsorship as it was really more of a passion collaboration with us both getting something from it ❤️ I’m gonna do a follow up with sculpting your head, and maybe go into the painting and other more “relaxing” parts. Please do like/share this one about as I’d love for it to do well, and to be able to go back to MT and show it’s a concept you guys enjoy 🙏❤️❤️

The audio was spot on, as it always is :) Really happy to hear you have a part two coming. Can't wait to hear and see more about the process of creating these sculptures, as well as the ASMR benefits too of course. Thank you xx

The audio on this was pretty good, I'd say that the audio on the Victorian antique shop video was a bit better, I think it had a bit more bass, more roominess, this one was a little more flat. It might be a question of volume, don't know. Still a great video though, as always. Really cool that you do sculpture, saw your Henry Cavill video maybe half a year ago, you're a great craftsman. Hope this one does well!
@JamesMatthewASMR2 жыл бұрын
Yeah to be fair this has literally 0 processing on it besides some removal of loud sounds - the Victorian audio is heavily processed with BG ambience and effects so it’s not a 1:1 comparison I guess because I hear both mics raw without processing this to me is a lot clearer - looking forward to doing another video with more BG ambience with these and you should hear the difference :)
@geckohecko2 жыл бұрын
Nice audio - definitely didn't have the strange quiet spots as you transition from speaking to background noise. Good job on the focusing of the camera for different distances - glass eyes aside, it seemed pretty streamlined. Cool to see you discussing something you're familiar with and excited about. Also, Doctor who role play y/y?

Big fan of the Madame Toussads attractions! The first time I ever visited was in NYC in 2002ish. We walked up on a crowd of people snapping pictures with Samuel L Jackson and my entire group was certain it was really him, the way he was stood and dressed absolutely looked like he had just stepped off a plane. Wonderful creations, and I'm wildly impressed that you have the talent and skill to bring a pile of wax to life like that! This video is stunning, your voice is amazing as always!

I loved this idea because it’s also something different then what you usually do. And it makes it all the more exciting knowing that this is something you do professionally, and you could tell how naturally this role was made for you, with the terminology and the way you explain the process. From what I’ve seen you do face/torso, would it be an idea to make a video of you sculpting something? Like finishing details on a face or maybe something smaller than what you usually carve in terms of video length. Sculpting has such nice asmr sounds😍. Loved the execution of this video well done👍

I loved this video, James, and although I do realize many people have already commented this; so, it's not an original comment, on my part: this is such an original concept for an ASMR video! I have watched *many* ASMR videos, from many ASMRtists, since I was ever-so-blessed to be introduced to the wonderful world of ASMR, back around 2016 or '17, and I have never come across any video even remotely like this, before. It was so interesting that I did want and try to stay awake to watch the whole thing, and I did, for most of it, but your voice is so wonderfully relaxing (and I was already tired 🥱, too), I couldn't help but fall asleep 😴, towards the end. I woke up, right before the end of the video, though. (I think one of my housemates awakened me, which happens all the time, unfortunately. 🙄) But, now that I'm awake, again, I can put a comment in the comment section about the video, which I was going to do, after watching the whole thing, anyway. Those are some truly amazing works of art, in the background, behind you. Are those all your own creations, or do you share your art studio with other artists/sculptors? I hope I come across the Part II of this video, I read, so many times, in the comment section, was planned to come. I hope to be able to see some of the sculpting work, in progress. That would be fascinating to see! 👀 I am glad you decided to meld these two types of your work into one, to give us, your audience, an inside look. Thank you. You're so cool, and so talented! 😀👍 I admire you so much, James, really! I wish I could get to know you, IRL.

One of my all time favorite videos with unintentional asmr was Jenna Marbles' video on being measured for her wax figure. There's plenty of asmr videos out there with just measuring, but I haven't seen any that went into swatching eye, skin, and hair color. I'd love to see a sequel with more swatch comparison
@JamesMatthewASMR2 жыл бұрын
Problem with those when they’re in first person; imagine you have dark skin or dark hair and I’m there with blonde or white colours being like “oh yeah here’s your tone” It’s the same reason haircut videos have to be super non descriptive and generic, because you could be male, female, black, white etc It could be done but it’s a problem 🤔
