Try a pair of old socks on those hood bushings instead of grease. Trail King was my favorite for specialized trailers. My last tractor was a T800, wish I had bought KW all thru my years. Had several N14s...bulletproof as possible.Last I drove and dealt with were Peterbilts with ISX Cummins. One pre-DEF, other had it. Pre DEF ran great. DEF tractor always had what Cummins kept calling "chuffing:...it was a poor performer. Finally got allowed to take it to Pittsburgh Power in Saxonburg, PA. They got it to run correctly and took it from a "rating of 600hp" (it wasn't close to that) to dyno proven 650hp at the ground. All that without deleting anything. The DEF had been over dosing and it had always drank the fluid instead of sipping it. The power difference was changing the injector pulse width in the ECM. Loaded was always 128-132,000 gross, Open road was direct or one lower with 18 speed. They had been my go to guys with my last two trucks. Bruce Mallinson and Pete Sharp have a great crew there.

I used to hunt whitetails and antelope east out of Lusk, almost to the SODAK border. Lots of both and people were few. Old rancher where we’d hunt still herded cattle with a 1917 open body wood spoke wheeled Buick. He came from Bohemia to the US in 1918 and hadn’t been farther than Lusk since. What a cool guy.

My hydraulic pump on the dump truck went out. Previous owner had left it running while driving or ran it empty. It was dark blue inside. The hydraulic shop said it’s to the point cost more to rebuild than to replace. Price was $1200 and had to be ordered. A good heavy equipment dealer I’ve used before got an aftermarket for $600. We’re waiting on it to come in as had to be ordered too. When ya own equipment it’s always something to spend money on.

I just recently found your channel. Everything your saying sounds like a tape recording of what I say all the time. Definitely think alike. I live in Everett Pa and work in the Bakken oilfield in ND. Your statement about alot of "NO's" is right on the money. I've always thought that I would like to do heavy haul, hauling machinery. That Black T500 Kenworth, that you showed is "Hall Trucking, Oilfield Service. They do alot of rig moves here in ND. I enjoy working out here, just like you said no bullshit. Having a yard here near Watford City or Williston ND is probably a great idea. Alot going on. I feel like I should contact you and have a conversation about being your next driver. Mark

Im in Wisconsin, and my girlfriend works for Oshkosh Truck, on the floor assembling trucks. The people that company is hiring would make your head spin. These guys dont want to come to work, and when they do come to work, they dont want to work. Some dont understand english. The workforce pool is a sad thing right now, in every trade. People dont want to work but they want top pay. I couldn't imagine where I would be in life right now if even half the jobs available now were available then. Out of high school workin at a patato farm stacking 100 pound burlap sacks of patatos on a skid, for 5 bucks an hour! Who would have thought!

I’m in the electrical field and you’re right, bad in every trade. The labor force sucks, you can’t find people committed, shitty attitudes and can’t be there on time. All the old cats in the trade are on the brink of retirement and I’m 31, right in the thick of dealing with ignorance wanting top pay like you stated and can’t make it to work. I can deal with someone committed and not knowing anything has a positive attitude and shows initiative. People want top pay but don’t want to work. Crazy. All these young kids want a desk job dying their hair pink.

Sometimes I wonder what maps permit people to look at; I have been on some crazy roads that are supposedly meant for wide long loads, I guess if you don't mind dragging your booster in the ditch on curves it's okay. Cows, you never had the joy of coming round a blind corner stacked so you can run at night and find three black cows standing in the middle of the road

You are right about American workers. Too many distractions, many are too lazy. They want a paycheck but have no pride in what they do. Part of this is that some employers don't care about their employees. Maybe we need to import some of those Volvo or Scania COE's just to stir the pot and make Paccar and some of the others compete. Getting rid of all of this environmental crap would also help reliability.
@robpeters52042 жыл бұрын
Getting rid of all this environmental crap. Are you stupid or just dumb? You see why the people in China wear masks outdoors before Covid? It’s because of all the pollution in the air and people can’t breath normally. Is that what you want?!?

Delta airlines suck. One day, I’ll tell you a story you won’t believe about ‘em. I’ll just tell you now; we get to the airport in Chattanooga, TN to catch a flight back to Norfolk, connecting in ATL. It is 0640, flight is 0705, not a soul in the airport, not a soul. I had been there for less than 2 days for my sister’s funeral. I let an older couple go ahead, me being kind. I get to the counter, I have 2 bags and my walker to check. We’re flying 1st class. The girl (who later says she’s the supervisor), says, ‘oh, you’re on the 0705 to ATL?’ I said, yes, ma’am. She said, ‘you missed the baggage cutoff to make it on the flight!’ Now, NO ONE is in the airport, no where! I missed the baggage cutoff by 2 MINUTES, she said. Do you believe that SHIT? No one to take 2 bags and a walker to the plane when no one is even there! She says, ‘I can get you out at noon, but it won’t be first class.’ I ask to see a supervisor, and am informed she’s the supervisor………….so, we sit and drink alcohol for 5 hours. A little risky-dink airport, no one even there, no one cares anymore, and she couldn’t get two more bags and my walker on the plane. I’m just done with Delta. We had paid for first class both ways, and even the connection from ATL to Norfolk wasn’t first class!

Awe, are you sure Mitch? After all, I'm just a young 76 now and what you are saying is longer may or might not be totally true. I can go to the toilet for #2 and have #1 come out all the while I'm doing the other. That is a blessing in disguise. Here's the rest of that story, I'm on a toilet every 5 to 6 hours and that includes at night. Now have you tried a Big Green Egg? It's totally ceramic 3/4 thick in the bowl (bottom) and cover (top), uses lump coal for its fuel so you don't get the taste of lighter fluid that's embedded in your charcoal briquettes. Also, it will let you cook a pizza, or bake, smoke, and grill. It is what I cook my 21# turkey in, and the bird is done in less time than it would be done in the oven. The last one was cooked at 475 degrees for 2.5 hours and the meat was falling off of the bones. I had it up on a beer butt, but no beer was in it, it had Mint Julip Whiskey in it and what you got was the hint of mint throughout the bird.

Such as I, decides to double check me, and comes up with something totally different, yes it is possible I miss counted cars, and I do really suck at math, so don't be an asshole if anybody replies with a different answer, my dad already made me well aware I am a dumb fuck ok..........keep the greasy side to the road , and keep eyesballin the load, we clear ......
