I've been on a MHIRA kick these past few weeks and this is a boy created by those patreon last year! It took a little while to make him perfect, meet Scorchara Ludensk: The newest resident and a slightly sweeter entry than the normal residents. He's a lover, not a fighter!

The way Scorch talked about how temporary his entire identity is unsettles me. I mean, it’s not that different from the human belief in reincarnation, except that there’s no telling when the whole cycle will be reset. How long usually lasts between flames? And back to the idea of Caretaker waking up with a stranger in their bed… wouldn’t that be just as strange for Scorch, if he lost most of his memories?

I think Scorch hasn't really made a connection with quality people to make him resist that urge to be impulsive and possibly reincarnate. Cursed flames would be a big deterrent with some forms being hotheads. That's a lonely bird man right there.

To be reborn would techniquely mean to experience everything new for the first time in a new incarnation, so new experiencing of life from a fresh perspective.

@@t.c.l1625 We don't know how quickly his desire to reincarnate surfaces between incarnations. For all we know he gets bored after just a few years and poof, completely new person. That being said, if he came upon the same people, they might be more wary of anyone that even LOOKS like the one that threw the cursed flames. It's the same sort of generalizations that start racist stereotypes. He might not remember the act, but the people affected sure as heck do. The other half of things is I think that's part of his issue he's in the house for. He doesn't live a full lifetime before reincarnating. He's essentially killing himself over and over and over just because he's bored then does something stupid and reckless for shits and giggles.

I love how at this point the listener isn’t even questioning how these guys get into the house 😂. But in all seriousness, glad to meet Scorch! And glad we have a less dangerous guy, he’s very interesting. I love your take on the phoenix rebirth thing, it’s very creative! I happily welcome the cuddle bird 😌 Also, why did I keep thinking how much Scorch would get along with the original trio? Him and Cal are flirty birds that are down for fun, him and Lau love fire and honestly seem like they’d have fun conversations, him and Blank are supposedly fairly old (also Scorch can keep Blank warm since he’s cold blooded). My mind is running rampant now Edit: I also sometimes headcannon that Lau would sleep on the couch not because of the lack of space, but he’d just simply find the couch comfy (and he could be close to the fireplace) despite the listener offering him a room, so cuddling with the next fire guy on the couch seems fitting to me 😅

I can’t help myself but imagine the listener stuck in the middle of a cuddle pile every night between our new boy who can hardly sleep alone, Blank being is possessive self and the needy incubus whenever he decides to up in 😂 And I’m sure Blank wouldn’t dislike the heat coming from Scorchara since he’s cold blooded which means he must be seeking body heat Yeah, I don’t know why but that’s the picture who’s stuck in my head. It’s a cute and funny one tho Keep up the good work, you’re doing amazing!

Maybe Cthon is the scrapbook author. I like to think part of his reformation to be less self-absorbed was to use his love of taking selfies to include the other roommates in his photos. Then he took thoughtful care in composing the shots once we started printing them out and putting the book together was a group activity.

I didn’t even realize the audio ended. ❤Scorch seems like an interesting character for sure. I feel kind of sad for him as he keeps being reborn but no memories of his past. Kinda scary to go to bed with someone and wake up and they are LITERALLY someone else.

Scorch trying to give his guess of the monsters that come in, was mostly how dearest Cal came in... maybe also our siren friend (who I'm blanking in the name atm cause its been a minute since i rewatched the Mhira boys and its 1am) I was expecting he think that most introductions would be our guests trying establish dominance with themselves on top... like our Drider guest who came in last last time.

Scorch is a bit strong on first meeting, but he does seem to have a sweet disposition. Ever since being introduced to Fawkes the Phoenix during childhood, I have held a certain reverence for phoenixes. While not my favorite mystical creature, they hold appeal for their loyalty, protection, healing tears, and other magical powers. I wish I could hug this phoenix boy in person; I wonder if holding a Moltres in Pokemon would be like that.

Kinda heartbreaking that we meet him looking through our books of what he calls 'precious memories', when we find out later how his memories go. 😢🔥 Maybe Blank can teach him to scrapbook.
