As a dude, it's oddly relaxing to be getting my hair and makeup done. 😆 How does it make sense that someone putting objects near a camera can be so relaxing as if I was actually the camera? No wonder women spend so much money to get their hair and nails done. It's like getting a massage.

Because our brain is fairly simple and doesn't discern between reality and fantasy as much as people think, in terms of sensory perception. 😊 And yes! I don't really like makeup. I don't like how it's sticky n gets everywhere and rubbing your eyes becomes impossible etc. But the one thing I loved about getting makeup done, the few times in theater or by getting pained fantasy make-up on during fairs and festivals, was that very relaxing sensation and care. ASMR is like trading the good of actual skin sensation against the bad of real makeup being a pricy nuisance 😂 and get to enjoy myself anyway.

Yes yes, there are a lot of neurons that get stimulated with such a thing! And being cared for is also nice. Plus I was able to get rid of my misophonia with exposure therapy via ASMR. :D Having someone in my space feels pleasant and like I'm hanging out with a friend or something and personal attention is such a special feeling hehe

I used to play at theater when I was younger. It was so much fun and everytime before a show, we had mothers and helpers, who helped us with our stage make up and hair. It was so relaxing in some way 😌☺ So this bring back good old memories ☺😌❤💎

Was about to comment the same thing. There are so many (good!) make-up ASMR videos out there, but many of them brush the air and it doesn't give the proper sound. It's still nice, but real hair is alwas the best.

TWICE is a girlband from South Korea - brilliant and shiny starband and for me the most shiny star from all nine is Nayeon. I know that it sounds like a young boy words about his beloved member and crush, but I'm almost 40. I was always wise, so my words should be taken even more serious... This girl, or should I say woman took my heart without any problem. She is not only beautiful, but has also very special heart and inner beauty... I pray for Her everyday...

Fun fact: Not sure if its right, but i heard that "break a leg" comes from the idea wordplay of getting a cast/getting casted (for the part), so its insinuating "get the part/get the role" but evolved and was used just in general for any performance type thing- even if the person already was casted for the part- where someones wishing good luck without directly stating "good luck".

A “leg“ is what you call the rod that a theater curtain hangs on. So to break a leg means the audience wants so many encore or keeps clapping so much they have to keep opening the curtain until it breaks.

It's called, "break a leg", because the curtains of the stage, are called legs, and breaking a leg, means to go out on stage, meaning you've made it on the show, showing the crowd your performance, which could bring upon other opportunities in the future, if you get noticed by the right people, hence the good luck.

Not true. It's either from Yiddish (Hals- und Beinbruch) with a Hebrew origin, which is a common good luck saying, or it originally was to fend off evil/out of superstition, by naming the worst that could happen out in the open. The curtain theory is cute, but too farfetched.
