There are so meany reasons I can think of for that. I think performing ASMR for people as a hobby is one thing, but imagine having to act this way for a full working day every day of the week. Putting on a smile for everyone, even if your child is ill, you are cranky because of someone being a jerk to you in traffic on your way over... Whispering for eight hours straight. Also, being a trained medical professional, you would be pragmatic and professionaly trained to act quickly because your education could also land you a job at an emergency room. It would go against every fiber in your body to be so relaxed and slow about things. Employers also are not very likely to offer you two hours of leave for an appointment that would regularly take twenty minutes. Not to mention your professional obligation to make sure your patients understand what is going to be done. If you whisper in their ear, there is no way to be sure they even HEARD what you said. This would pose serious health risks and could have huge legal implications. There are plenty of medical professionals who care about their patients and give you the impression they have all the time in the world for you, but they will still be efficient about it. To me, that is the best of both worlds. When I have serious health concerns, I do not want someone to take twice as long to get me diagnosed and treated - I want to get well ASAP and get on with my life. :P Just my thoughts, though. Also a persistent thought that I cannot keep inside anymore is my pet peeve of ASMR role play videos inserting random tapping and crinkling sounds, making the role-played professional looking really dimwitted. I mean: "So you are in here for problems with your ears and you might not hear very well. So let's make all kinds of nice and quiet sounds for you to enjoy." I think the expected real-life reply would be: "WHAT DID YOU SAY, DOC? WHY ARE YOU PLAYING WITH THAT BAG?" - Sorry about that... I absolutely respect ASMR-tists for taking the time and effort to offer a pleasant feeling to others - for free and out of the goodness of their hearts - but it makes me cringe so bad. Cringes are the worst if they interrupt tingles...

I've always wondered do you prepare and rehearse a script word for word or just stick to an outline of topics in a certain order? I ask because imo you are by far the best at sounding very natural during your role playing. The way you speak is exactly how I would expect someone with that profession to sound (aside from the whispering obviously lol). Also I just have to tell you that you are without a doubt one of the most gorgeous women I've ever seen.

@BulleTRiP8 жыл бұрын
Hi Doc :) I'm totally new to ASMR, been driven here by music production stuff, and.. this is awesome! So I checked some other yt channels doing this to compare and that's why I came back here to comment: you are doing excellent! I assume you're pretty new to doing this aswell and that's why you don't have the millions views others have, but I really wanna let you know that only you gave me chills ;) Obviously this is mostly thanks to the binaural mic, the L/R separation is fantastic, reminded me of a directional audio demo that blew my mind some 11 years ago.. I think it's a must-have for any good "clinic" ^^ Speaking of the mic, the only detail that disturbed me was when you touched the "ears" around 3:30-4:00 and got that typical noisy, dry, "touching mic" sound, like low-pitched clicks. I get why you did it, but I think in that particular case you shouldn't have touched the mic at all, because you said you would "put a little pression around your neck, your face.." so I was just not prepared to hear that. The sequence around 22:30-23:30 didn't bug me because you were more like rubbing the mic and not just touching it, so it sounded way more natural. The mic is obviously very sensitive ; rubbing is ok but hitting the mic, even very gently, produces that unnatural sound that doesn't have a place in a "clinic", imho ^^ I'm no professional (yet :p), just interested in sound design and music production, so I'm not pretending I know anything but I thought that might help a bit :) Anyway, you just got a new sub! Your subscribers/views ratio is funny btw, I guess some people feel a bit awkward watching this kind of videos, but it's quite new so give it some time :) Full support from France, everything about this channel is great, the audio/video quality, the amount of info in the description, the sound of your voice... I'll definitely dig it for those nights when I struggle getting asleep ;) Cheers :D

@peaceinhersheyyy8 жыл бұрын
I know people don't give a crap but I don't like how asmr is getting a bad rep because of reaction videos and youtubers thoughts about asmr. It became the point that it isn't fun anymore to watch these videos people judge and say we are weird. That we have fetishes and shuns us out. I am getting sad that people are bullying us for this and I am sick and tired of it. If you don't like it, I get it. Keep your opinions to yourself and leave. We don't want you here. This is a community that helps people with depression and anxiety, and if you don't understand that because your puny judgemental mind find this a weird nuisance, I ask you to leave us alone. Thank you.
@hanimay68438 жыл бұрын
+peaceinhersheyyy I personally don't care if ASMR is getting a rep of any kind and I don't care if people call me weird. I also don't care if people accuse me of having fetishes because I do have them (ASMR isn't one). Maybe you're uncomfortable with all this because you're not comfortable with yourself? Forget what others say and just relax.
