Wow! The likeness between your drawing and the picture is striking! You really did capture her look and I love the amount of detail with the different levels of shading and light. You really are talented Isabel! The new sound recorder is a vast improvement over your phone and the video camera you were using previously. It’s a lot clearer and much more sensitive. Man you have such a different workflow than I do when I draw. But it maybe because I love charcoal and that's what I use instead of pencil. I lightly do the silhouette myself, and then I hit the dark spots and shadows, I then go the light to gray to dark shadows because I'm able to see dimension and my eyes are able to comprehend it. Hair has to be my favorite thing to do, but I always leave it to last because when I draw it it makes it feel like it's the last thing I need to make it fully come to life.! The things I do towards the end are the nose and the mouth, I go as generic and close as possible to the shape the person has to have a place holder atleast. I have the hardest times with them the most especially closed lips.

Hey, not that you should take my advice or anything .. But i wonder, do you know about paper pencil blenders aka, paper stumps? I use them for my pencil work and it provides a very fine and soft finish to the pencil as it blends all pencil lines into one shade, making the final piece more realistic. Some people like the textured aesthetic that pencils provide, but thought i'd just give some feedback, although maybe unwanted or not needed .. cant hurt to suggest right? lol! Great art nevertheless
