Wait I was tricked I'm not ready for any examination! Nooo😥 Been meaning to watch apothecary diaries but more on a movie binge than an anime one! For me whenever I feel lonely, tend to see where that feeling is coming from incase it's something I should look at or realize it's a passing feeling. When it is a passing moment I like to talk too people closest to me cause this feeling usually brings about some really vulnerable conversations that I want to have with my friends when I can explain what I'm going through! Idk there's nothing like a hug from someone when your feeling this way cause it's like seeing a a different side of you if that makes sense. Fully understanding is difficult and even if you come close something minor can happen that changes everything about someone story, I really enjoy talks when we get to connect the dots of who we are. It's a lot of fun! Maybe this is too deep for an ear exam, I'll sit back now lmaoo

It sucks being lonely, cause one never knows where to make friends. As someone that doesn't want to bother strangers, the only times I feel comfortable talking to others would be if we saw each other regularly at a consistent place. So that leaves like work? But some work places don't really provide good social opportunities, and one usually works to make money, not friends. School is just work but for when you're still in the free trial mode, and as someone that has always gone to nerd schools for nerds, surrounded by nerds and less nerdy nerds, most people I knew literally had no life outside of school and grades. I'm currently looking into volunteering, but most people don't have the time for that. So what is one to do? Go to random bars or clubs and talk to people? What if you're 21 or younger? Or uncomfortable with those kinds of environments? Therefore, someone should launch an Introvert Adoption App, or the IAA, where extroverts can find helpless introverts to bring along as a nice piece of decoration to their next social gathering. It could be like a dating app, but for platonic friendships and social events.

I've found great success in simply being present in public spaces. I go to the gym, the library, various other public spaces. If you're there regularly, people will notice. Nod to people as they go by, give the greeting of the day, those low effort socializations that are so ingrained as politeness. After a while, someone will strike up a conversation with you, and likely introduce you to a preexisting social circle.

Cut the excuse-making crap. All being an introvert means is that you need alone time to recharge your batteries. You are still perfectly capable of socializing and conversing. It's a skill you learn, and get better at with practice. So go practice.

@@origDoktorEisenbart Where? Go up to strangers on the street? Also, I never mentioned being an introvert, though it does take a lot of energy for me to initiate social interactions. But I'm ok with doing that, but the issue I'm complaining about is home the majority of people don't put any effort into maintaining the friendship back unless we are often in close contact. So, as someone who is not currently in in-person school, has a job where its just me and my boss, and most of my hobbies are best enjoyed alone, its hard to find others who are willing to be friends. Other than walking up to random people on the street, myself and probably many others have no reliable way to meet new people except through work or school.
