Really enjoying this soft focus! Something about having the images slowly resolve as you bring it closer to the camera is so enjoyable. Made me think: maybe a roleplay about differently-abled people would be fun? Like a prosthetic fitting or something similar... Something showing aspects of their lives but in a positive way.
@elcisitiak1723 жыл бұрын
as long as she doesn't call us that (differently abled) it could be fun. wheelchair shopping could be great, you couldn't get the actual chairs but you could go through options online and talk about different features.

@@elcisitiak172 What terms would you like used? I have heard differently-abled used here (Colorado) and it seems to be better than disabled 🤷 I'm genuinely interested in knowing better terms to use for people. 🙂
@JS-nl4zf3 жыл бұрын
@@pendragon_cave1405 ‘people with disabilities’ perhaps? Either way, I love your ASMR idea!
@elcisitiak1723 жыл бұрын
@@pendragon_cave1405 that's one of the terms that able-bodied people tend to try to use for disabled people because they consider disability to be this Big Bad Thing that we need to avoid saying. There's debate among disabled people on whether to use person-first or identity-first language and there's no consensus, but it's almost universally agreed that we dislike euphemisms such as differently abled or "handicapable" or whatever. Personally I prefer identity-first, as in I AM disabled, because it affects every aspect of my life and it's not different to me from saying I am a woman or I am Jewish or I am bisexual etc. You can't really separate my disabilities from me as a person because I've grown up with them and they impact how I live just as much as being Jewish does. It's not a bad thing to be disabled, it just is. I'm a wheelchair user, and diabetic, and autistic, and Jewish, etc. Some people will insist on person-first language, which is their prerogative, saying they are a person with a disability, a person with diabetes, etc. Personally I dislike that because I always feel like it means people need to remind themselves that I'm a person, like they're going to forget if they don't say person every time lol.

The filter in the video + my shortsightedness = finally not feeling guilty about falling asleep and not watching because I couldn't see a damn thing anyway. Love the realism Sophie. Loved when you did a similar thing a while ago in a doctor roleplay with turning the camera as we were supposed to turn our heads. It's these things that make the videos even better.
