~ MY STORY ~
Like a lot of us, I happened upon ASMR videos by chance when searching for ‘sleep help’ on KZbin. I fell in love with the community because (alongside the tingles, ofc), it was a space for love, acceptance, and childlike creativity.
For someone who has struggled to love themselves and feel accepted (and continues to struggle on their worse days), ASMR is such a beautiful way to get out of our negative self talk. It speaks to the child within us, who doesn’t know what an amazing kid they are!
I recommend that everyone take the time to explore the wonderful world of ASMR with an open heart & mind.

I feel that the composition of your videos are so magical and almost surreal, because the backgrounds are always gardens or backyard with lots of plants and just green, brown earthy hues... then the natural ambient sounds of birds, vehicles and outdoors basically, the lighting is always so perfect and pleasant, even though it's bright and well-lit, but because everything is so visually pleasing, it adds to the relaxation, even when the aesthetics aren't purely ASMR-like (if we compare it to darker backgrounds with little to no external light). Anyway, all I would like to convey is that your style is very unique, and as much as experimenting with it is always fun, as an ASMRtist, how it is currently is very much appreciated!

As a LOTR fan, and remembering the hobbits had pointy ears (perhaps more subtle) I also would have accepted "Jocie Cotton prepares you for Bilbo's 111th birthday!" @@JocieBASMR Haha the deadline trundled towards me and I paced myself (waiting on supervisor corrections etc) because as soon as i finished id be sent back into the laboratory; when it gets dark at 3pm in the winter here it means i don't get sunlight :( The real stress came when i had to print out 3 copies of 235 pages from a temperamental printer, then had to run to the binding shop before it closed! But am very proud of the finished thesis. I haven't tried to read the books since i was a kid and it was beyond me; now i have no time. But the films are engrained in my mind, and r/lotrmemes is brilliant. Check out GeekZone on YT for bitesize chunks on the lore - it continues to blow me away how expansive the world is, its history and the interplay between the beings (the creator, the gods, the angels and spirits, the elves and men, dwarves etc). I have the soundtracks of the films playing in the lab to keep the mood up!
