Fallout 4 is way more beginner friendly if you’ve never played a game like Skyrim or any of the fallout games, but if you wanna play new Vegas find the girl with the dog and she’ll give you a combat tutorial and show you a thing called VATS

If you need any tips, when you level up just dump all your skill points into lockpick/science, repair and speech. Those are probably the most common/important skill checks
