I just wanted to say I really appreciate how you're handling such a tender topic. I can tell you were speaking from your heart and truly meant what you were saying. I agree that those "feel good narratives" can be very detrimental, and it's unfortunate that the internet is flooded with them. It frustrates me when people think they can just say “I love myself” and everything will magically be fine, because it really doesn’t work, and I feel it’s an ineffective way that our society uses to cope with issues instead of dealing with them the right way. Sorry for the rant, but thank you for being so genuine in all of your videos, it’s hard to come by channels like yours on KZbin.

It’s so frustrating to constantly hear aggressive positivity and forced self-love dialogue on the internet. It has never worked for me ;-; I wish it did, but my brain is not so simply rewired. Rants are always welcome!! I do a lot of that myself lol 💕

The fact that you're doing this good with a cell phone mic lets us (and yourself) know just how good you r at ASMR. Keep at it Isabel, been using ASMR for sleep for about 13 yrs and ASMRtists that I've seen with 500k+ followers cannot touch u. P.S. - Thank you for sharing things you've learned in therapy with us, and your eyebrows r fine 😆

I really appreciate you touching on choosing replacement beliefs that feel honest, because that’s always been my struggle with this intervention, but ultimately I’m not sure the examples do a better job, for me at least. For example, if I begin by believing “im defective,” I doubt I can suddenly believe “I’m okay as I am.” What’s the difference between that and the “I think I’m awesome” version we’re maligning in the beginning? We’re still just asking ourselves to believe the opposite of what we currently believe with no real justification. Some seem more plausible than others (abandoned => independent maybe) but it’s disconcerting that even most of the canonical examples are deeply in “just trust me bro” territory.

@IsabelAtlasASMR20 сағат бұрын
It’s my natural hair color, yep! Strawberry blonde is pretty accurate for me I’d say. I say I’m a gentle ginger LMAO it’s not super red or gold until it gets some sun shining on it.

All I remember is saying “No” at full volume which usually peaks my mic and allows me to edit more efficiently cause I can see a huge mountain in the audio interface 😭 I really didn’t want to miss that
