ASMR, the acronym doesn't matter so let's just relax. Whatever your reason for being here, whether by accident or on purpose, welcome.
Wearing headphones, earbuds, or just playing from the speakers on your phone? Don't be afraid to experiment with the listening experience! Typically you can find me in three situations when accessing ASMR content. To stay focused while blocking out the noise, I'll wear over-ear headphones at a low volume. The carefully constructed ambiance is a welcomed blessing in this busy world, helping me get the work done. Now listen... come close... if it's the spine tickling, brain buzzing, full-body tingle effect we're after, I'm reaching for the earbuds every time. They're small and fit inside the ear, making it easy to cozy up in bed, blissfully mixing into the sounds now bouncing around my head. Lately for casual listening, I've been playing the sounds straight from the phone's built-in speaker. It's a realistic and cozy effect laying in bed with nothing in my ears and just the sound coming from the speakers. If you have surround sound speakers in your bedroom, you're on another level and don't need my advice. From super high-quality assortments or low-fi sounds that bring you into the space, it's good to see you, glad to have you here and hope you enjoy.

hi! i wanted to say i loved your story about finding your voice and what you talked about at around 9:30 . our voices are part of our physiologies and expressed in a way that is part of our personalities; a body and mind working together to paint a human picture. it is an endlessly fascinating idea to me and i think the way we talk can say so much about us that belies what we look like. sometimes the way people talk is so beautiful without trying, like you said i am dead tired at the moment which is why im watching this so thanks lot for the asmr (and the really cool stuff you had to say)

When I get SUPER tired I also get auditory hallucinations but for me it's like an odd droning music that ebbs and flows a lot like how u explained. My DR said it's normal when people get tired, and your brain starts to go into a type of REM state to try and rest. You are the only other person I've heard report something similar! Brains are so weird.

i know, this is a tiny bit weird but.. i actually have a specific tired/zonked song that plays in my head. it isn't a real song but easily could be. it's a basic 4 by 4 beat but like.. the chords and melody are kinda chopped and spliced a little and there's a vocal harmony that sings in a mostly-consistent interval i can never fully remember it, but i've retained it in bits from times where i've been incredibly tired (or smoked too much lol)

hey PJ, have you ever considered how a sentient other soecies would have to speak a language? like say.. some anthropomorphised bird species that could speak with other birds or even to humans? really makes you think about all the talking animals in film and how most of them just wouldn't be able to use a lot of the phonemes we can and so they would have to adapt variations of our language and vice versa.
