So today my dad found out I was crying over exams and pressure, so he told the principal of the school i do my examinations at! And he was like “why is she always crying?”, like I never even cried in front of him! When I asked dad why he told the principal, he said that if I didn’t want people to know, then I shouldn’t have been weak enough to cry... this made me understand why I don’t like to speak about or show my emotions. I think I know why we find comfort in strangers, atleast for me, I’m worrying that if I tell people I know, they tell someone and then more and more people know about my insecurities and worries, which isn’t a comfortable thought at all, I don’t know what my friends and family talk about me when I”m not there, but with strangers you can sort of feel comfortable in knowing that these people have no connection to you or your relatives, talking about your feelings have no consequences, mum never understood how I can find comfort in telling strangers how I feel, but just the fact that they’re strangers, makes it all the easier.... for me at least
