Fufu is made from potatoes or sweet potatoes. It’s very chewy so most people don’t chew it, they swallow it.

@@10_the_goatwhat they said is so wrong lol. Fufu is a type of “swallow” that is made from fermented cassava only. We have other type of swallows that look like fufu but are different colours such as amala(purple and made from unripe plantain flour, starch (derived from cassava but mixed with oil palm- yellow in colour), pounded yam made from pounded yams (white), Garri (from dried cassava and hot water- brown/a bit yellow) etc. I can’t quite make out the one she’s eating now tho.
