to make a iron trapdoor (or just a normal iron door) to work, you only need to place a button (of any kind), a lever or a pressure plate on one of the blocks that are directly connected to the block that the trapdoor is placed on. After you have placed one of these just click ”use” on the lever or button (and if you have chosen the pressure plate just walk on top of it) and the door will open. I recommend using a pressure plate or a button because the door will close on it’s own after a couple of seconds, where as the lever will keep the door open until you deactivate it.

To answer your question about that new nether material, it's called Netherite. To get a netherite ingot, you must dig up four ancient debris in the nether (ancient debris does not spawn on the surface of the nether, so you won't find it just running around) and then smelt the debris to get four netherite scrap. Then put 4 scrap in the crafting table (not stacked) and 4 gold ingots and you will have one netherite ingot. You then use one of those blacksmith tables to combine the ingot with a diamond piece of gear and it'll become netherite, which gives you knockback resistance and is fire proof, so if you die in lava with all your netherite gear, it'll float instead of burn. However, netherite is not out yet, it's in an update that's currently being developed

Hey AGN a really good tip I often use is when I'm near lava pools underground I mine around them because sometimes there are diamonds just hidden in the stone hope you can try and find some diamonds with this tip I do it all the 😀😀😀

You should make your basement a chest room, you can stack chests and have an organization system. I usually have a room of 100+ chests usually reserved for one type of block haha
