You and your noble friend finally enter the palace to present your mind control serum to the king, who wants to test the serum on its first human subjects---one of your two slaves. Things don't go as planned for the king, but they do go as planned for you, surprising your slave, who had previously thought that you had betrayed her.
I again try to play three different roles in this audio (slave, slaver, and the listener's noble friend), but I don't think my voice acting is quite good enough to call those voices distinguishable from one another. I hope you are okay with what is within my current ability to do.

I really like the noble friend! While recording, I realized that the noble friend might be a better match for the listener... but I guess I was a little worried because I hadn't given her name, which would make the situation a bit strange! Or maybe that twist (if the noble friend ends up with the listener) would be too much?

@@RoseWeiVA It would have been a pretty good twist! I think they're both good matches for the Listener, one can match our passion and idealism while the other tempers it with realism and pragmatism. I could see an alternate, more ambiguous ending where it's left up to the listener's decision/interpretation as to which one we choose. Besides, who can make a better match for a nameless Listener, than an equally nameless noble friend? 😂

I'm happy you enjoyed! I do like that alternate timeline ending haha. It gives me a bit of Lelouch vi Britannia vibes! ---but holding the king hostage in a country that hates her would be better for self-preservation in the end since the serum only works on the king. ^^;

@@RoseWeiVA Oh yeah, it would definitely lead to a much much shorter life expectancy! Especially since it sounds like we were surrounded by the king's guards. But after having one's life upended by someone, sometimes people make... less than logical decisions.

@@brainydragonva You're absolutely right! Rose (and her brother!) would definitely be feeling anger and want to act irrationally. Perhaps in another series in the future involving a rebellion where the alternative isn't straight up death, I'll have a "go die for your evils" moment. ;)
