I’m one of those people who struggles with large group situations, and am more gregarious in one-on-one situations. It’s good to communicate that with people so they don’t get offended. The good news is that now I’m getting closer to fifty, people realize that some things about me won’t change, so people leave me alone. LOL. I guess this is advice?

So far the biggest thing in my life right now is feeling so alone and feeling like I’ll never have a significant other who loves me like I see others have in their lives. I’m turning 25 next week and I’ve just never had a relationship. Ofc I don’t need a partner to be happy, but it’s an experience I feel like I’m missing out on, especially when I’m young. ☹️ This whole year has been really hard. When you were answering the question abt the colonoscopy I thought of my exsperiences and just had to ask you....does the anesthesia they give you for the colonoscopy make you very irritable and grumpy? I have IBS and a ulcerated colon and for some reason the meds they give when doing the procedure really has a aweful effect on me. It makes me very snappy and almost rude towards the nurse and whoever else is around when they first finish the procedure. A couple times I literally tried snatching out the IV and I just feel almost in like a angry drunk state of mind😢Just wondering if youve ever felt this way off of the ansthesia?

Hey, i’ve never experienced this reaction to anaesthesia. I feel like everyone’s side effects are different. Definitely mention this to your specialist / general doctor 🥺💜

@@ASMRJADE Oh he noticed...everyone did and they said its common for some people to be displacent after but I could be having a reaction a little worst than most bc of my adhd and anxiety meds that I take on a reg basis.Thanks though for your response, I was just wondering how common it was or if anyone else felt this way out of curiosity is all. It really makes it harder for me to go bc I literally dread that part. Thankfully I havent had a flare up in about a year now :)

To the lady of 19 being pressured by her parents: I think I can answer this one. I too was (and am still) expected to marry and have kids at a point long before my finances stabilize. As the last remaining male in the family line, they expect me to carry the Fishkin name. My solution to this is to double down in social situations on the attributes that make me undesirable as a husband. I do this partly out of spite, but mostly as an exercise of my philosophical scruples. The world doesn't need another Adam running around, and no child should have the misfortune of a butthole like me for a father. So the moral is: whatever you observe about yourself that makes marriage a bad idea, take comfort in it and keep being that version of you. Ditto on group settings. People in groups are terrifying: they become a mob at the drop of a hat. Grieving an old life is a tangled web because the past is full of both things out of your control (e.g. a chronic illness), and personal choices you can't take back (especially the impressions you make on people). I love what Jade said about noticing who sticks around when you're meeting your own needs, and who takes the time to understand. Empathy isn't the rarest thing in the world, but the world could do well to use it more than it does. Tip on how to save money and stop eating out so much? Here's a solution I've considered in the times I've been too exhausted to cook: similar to how some coworkers will carpool, what if you and a bunch of neighbors foodpooled? Pitch in $10 apiece for ingredients, and appoint a chef among the group to prepare a meal for however many you are? Maybe it's communal paradise or maybe it's stupid, but it's at least worth a shot. Ohhhhh yes custom videos are catnip to the internet's most unhinged nutbags. Many of them are crazier than I am, which is saying a lot. So yes, listen to Jade and please be careful!
