Oh my gosh the nostalgia is real! I grew up in NY and in elementary school we used to do this to each other. We would say “criss cross applesauce (sit criss cross applesauce/tap shoulders to beat), x marks the spot (draw an x on their back), spiders crawling up your back, spiders crawling down (tickle their back), tight squeeze (squeeze upper arms), cool breeze (gently blow and tickle their back and arms), now you’ve got the shiveries! And I totally forgot about it until just now!

The thing that I love about these is that everyone’s treasure hunts are a little different based on your school. Definitely childhood memories haha! I taught the crack an egg on your head to my cousin’s three year old the other day, he loved it and went around doing it to everyone. I remember another one that was planting a garden on your arm. Like planting seeds, covering dirt, watering etc.

It’s weird to me how people say they’ve never heard of ASMR (the feeling itself) or that ASMR is weird when games like these exist. No, not everyone plays them growing up, I actually didn’t either, but there were other similar things my friends and I did when we were little. ASMR wasn’t a huge KZbin thing until last decade but the phenomenon itself, the fuzzy feeling, has always been a thing.

Which means: an egg cracks, the yolk drips, elephants going up, elephants going down, ants going up, ants going down, the snake goes up, the snake goes down, the rain drips, the rain drips, cold breeze, shivering
