I may have said this before but you remind me very much if my grandfather. Both of them actually. They were both extremely kind gentlemen, I don’t think either one of them had a mean bone in their bodies and I miss them both (they passed several years ago). I’m not sure what it is that reminds me of them, but maybe it’s the way you talk or your mannerisms but you definitely remind me of them

Dear Grandpa Poe, I’ve been a quiet watcher of yours for a while and thought today I would just check in with you. I have a fondness for you in ways that I’m sure you could never imagine when you were encouraged to make these videos. You see, I grew up without grandpas. It was no fault of my parents who are amazing people and I’m very fortunate for that. My mother’s father passed away when she was very young before she ever met and married my father. My dad’s father chose to not be a part of his life from the beginning and came back around when my dad was grown. He was a good grandpa for a while until his other children by his wife (him and my grandmother were not married, he married his ex wife many years after the birth of my father) he disappeared from my life. I watched him be a good grandpa to kids that weren’t me and it always made me wonder as a kid what I did and what was wrong with me that he couldn’t be that for me. But I realize now it was not a reflection of myself, but a reflection of him. So thank you, Grandpa Poe. I love your videos and I especially love when you show us things from your past and tell us stories. You healed a part of me. You see, I think ASMR is so much more than just sounds. It’s the environment and the personality of the person. You are very warm and inviting and always make me feel so safe. Thank you for always being here for us. And thank you, Daughter Poe, for being so gracious to share Grandpa Poe with us. ❤️
