This is a beautiful video in so very many ways, and it is so good - and courageous during this time - for you to share at this level. It is so difficult to talk about grief, and so many people feel alone and abandoned and empty. Posting this video really extends a caring hand out and spreads much-needed good energy, integrity, and encouragement that we are not alone, and you are so wonderful to voice all of those thoughts and feelings that we have such trouble voicing even to ourselves. Thank you so much, my friend - my deepest sympathy is with you, and hope for a brighter tomorrow. Lovely vid☺

Wow thank you so much for such an incredible comment Secret Scholar. I really hope people found it helpful and at the end of the day it was cathartic for me too. I think reading a lot of forum posts helped a lot to formulate some of my own feelings. So many people have shared their experiences and it has been something that really has helped me with my own sorrow. The community has been so positive and welcoming of this video and I think it would be cool to continue to do these types of videos in the future. There is so much room for ASMR to be a vehicle to think about some of these things and share experiences and feelings. Anyway I am sending you peace and serenity as well my friend. I am so glad this video helped if even just a little bit. I'm always here with an open here if you need to talk!

TEA FOR TWO! Wow, even though its a bit of a sad video topic its really great to see you in the comments. I am so glad that some of my words were able to resonate with you. I am still just trying to figure things out day by day but with all the love and support I've gotten here I do feel a lot less alone. Tears often come from the same place that also brought us joy. I hope that you also find peace and serenity with whatever you are going through. I know that brighter days will come for us all. Thank you truly Tea for Two.🙏🙏😭

Wow somehow I dont' know how the slipped in my inbox. THank you so much for your condolences and kind words Lilac Chime. Its totally true, losing a pet is so hard. I had a tough month or two there but I do feel a bit better now. I am so glad you appreciated the video, its really hard to talk about grief and it is such a taboo subject yet we all go through this experience. We are better for it when we let ourselves open up rather than bury these feelings deep down in my opinion. Anyway sending peace and love to you my friend. I always appreciate your support and kindness these many years!

I am so glad that you were able to find some solace in my video and I am sending you peace and tranquility during this tough time. Thank you so much for your sympathies as well. It’s hard to believe how many people are out there in the world suffering in silence and just trying to get by. The world is very unforgiving sometimes…it keeps moving forward meanwhile for us it feels like the world has stopped. There are a couple other great asmr videos about grief especially from my friend tiraradeguello which you might find helpful. Peace and serenity and thank you truly Chrisy. I can't even imagine how I would cope... I lost my best friend (grandpa) and then, two years later, my big sister, but somehow the thought of losing my first pet is.... I don't know what to even say. I'm horrified. She's my medicine, my home, my "soul friend". I am so very very sorry for your loss, dear. You keep staying strong, ok? 💜🕯️ Max was truly an extremely lucky dog to have someone like *YOU* as his owner. I hope you can see that 🥰 And I will go through this video fully the day I am ready. Thank you.

Wow, Valorie this really touched me! I also lost my grandfather but I can't imagine how difficult it must have been to also lose your big sister. Honestly I think that we respond to death differently each time...and it never gets easier really either. I think there is something about a pet being such a big part of your life...you wake up together, go to sleep together...they are a part of your daily life in a deep profound way. I hope that you and your pet have a long long long time together filled with joy and happiness. I think that is the one thing that really does help me through this period...is remembering those good times. At the end of the day its those beautiful moments we have together that made the relationship so special to begin with. I am so thankful to read your words I'm so sorry for your loss as well. For me, being strong means being vulnerable sometimes and not being afraid to share my feelings with myself and with you all. I gave Max 1000% and I know in my heart that I really tried to give him the most joy possible. Don't hesitate to reach out anytime and thank you for sharing your story Valorie.

Thank you so so much Rumiraaj! You are totally right. Ultimately they are in a better place especially because we all eventually get old and sick and life simply isn't the same. I absolutely agree, its hard to truly come to grips with it...and maybe we never do totally. But live moves forward relentlessly and thats just how it is. We have to find a way to honor their memory by living a good life and continuing to do our best. Time also heals all wounds...not completely but it helps a lot. Sending peace and serenity to you Rumiraaj, I really appreciate the heartfelt words and I'm so thankful you took the time to write here. Thank you!

I typed "ASMR Grief" in the search and got you. There's no point in sharing my story, but I have been in pain for a couple months now, enough to go out of my way to seek solace on KZbin, and this video helped alleviate some of the burden that has been weighing me down. Thank you for helping. Best of luck with your channel, I'll subscribe and stick around for a while; appreciate you, take care.

Kevin, wow this is a truly touching comment. I only regret that it took me so long to respond. Its a huge honor to know that this video helped you in some way. I know nothing can take away the pain but its good to know we aren't alone to carry such a huge burden. I've definitely been there seeking solace on the internet...grief is extremely personal and sometimes its close to impossible to talk about with people outside of a select few. And you also don't want to feel like you are a burden on those other people. Its just so hard to know where to turn and what to do. I'm so glad to help even if just a little bit. Whatever grief you are dealing with just know what my heart goes out to you and I will be thinking about you buddy. I know it sounds cliche but you know what we all could use a little bit more empathy and caring of other people out there and what they are going through. Don't hesitate to reach out here or email Kevin. Sending peace and strength to you, and I can't express how much of an honor it is to have your support and to stick around. I hope to do more things like this in the future as well. Its just not talked about enough.

@@NathanASMR Hey there, Nathan. So just when I thought I was moving past my grief, the holidays have arrived and brought upon a whole new wave. I once again resorted to just watching some videos I've saved, yours of course being one of them. While your video ran, I randomly scanned down to the Comments section and found... my own? I was shocked to see my name. I've been in such an emotional tornado that I totally forgot I wrote you anything; I never write any comments to anyone. But I have to say, I think your response may have found me at just the right time. For me, grief has been a tilt-a-whirl, going through waves of depression and anger and lethargy, then (now) shame for how this still hurts while those around me have already moved on. My response to this has been to shut myself out, to suffer in the shadows, and try not to let anyone see I'm still in pain. Over the past few months, I have come across a lot of repetitive advice, but the one that I keep purposely ignoring is the one I think I need the most : to express my grief with those who care about me and my lost loved one, and not leave it all bottled in anymore. It's embarrassing in a way, the thought of letting anyone know that I still haven't moved on or dealt with this properly; it'll be five months soon. But I can't sit in the dark any longer, it's only making my pain fester and grow. I think if I'm more honest about this with a few select people that it will at least make the struggle more bearable. (Using Reddit/Twitter were good ideas too, both have helped.) I really appreciate your response, if for nothing else, it allowed me to write these words and help myself realize what I really need to do. Thanks a lot, man. I've been keeping up with your videos too, I really liked the "Uber Driver in Miami" one; I was born in Miami but hadn't seen it at night in a very long time. All the lights gave the video a great ambience, was a cool idea. Thanks again for helping me out, I'll talk to you again soon. Happy holidays man, take care.

I loved how you mentioned that we can still give back because so many people and animals are in need - doing that really helps the healing process. And our love one will be so happy to see that we are honoring them by doing something good to another :D
@NathanASMR
@NathanASMR 2 жыл бұрын
Its so so true. I think its probably the best way to move forward with your grief. To realize you have so much love go give to another animal and save them the same way that you saved your other beloved pet. That is ultimately one of the best ways to honor their legacy. I really appreciate your thoughtful and caring comment Gigi especially during such a tough time. Sending you peace and tranquility during the weekend and once again thank you so much for your sympathies!

It's good to be aware of these 5 stages because we all experience loss of a love ones unexpectactly and knowing the stages helps us to make sure we process things positively and to know it's okay to experience them so we can heal slowly. We all experience this stages differently, some stages will take longer to process for everyone. Thank you for discussing this topic because pain/suffering (not sure what to call it) is something we do not discuss, we just avoid. Sending you a big hug friend.
@NathanASMR
@NathanASMR 2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. I really hope sharing this video at least helped for somebody out there. There is no book or manual that helps us be ready for the immense amount of pain or sadness that you feel through loss. I definitely think having these stages can help you intellectually understand a bit more about what you are going through because sometimes it does feel a bit out of control. I think that is the key- you have to let the feelings come and not be afraid to feel them. The more you are able to face your emotions the healthier relationship you will have with yourself. It is never never to do and we all move at different speeds and in different ways. I definitely don't want to make anybody feel like there is a "right way" to grieve either. It was an honor to share this all with you and to open myself up. I hope that you found some value and as always thank you so much for your kind words and sympathies. You are always amazing Gigi!🧡🙏

After I lost my Jack, someone told me that our pets come to us in order to help us get thru something, or learn something, etc. could be anything - you name it. But when they see that they've gotten us thru, or made sure we've learned what we needed to learn, or grown in ways we needed to, well then their job is done...and so they decide it's time to leave us and go to be reborn again and help another human. This one statement, be it fantasy or not, nonetheless really helped me so much. I hope it helps you. Woof.
