ASMR hair dryer sound. Relaxing on the couch with book and cuddles. Happy sleep!

This time it was my wife's turn to be my "support". The sound of the hair dryer, a good book and cuddles did the rest.
Good way to relax, don't you think?

What is ASMR
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is an experience characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine.
ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.

I've commented in many more white noise videos and no one really answerd. And my question is this: why we the people who like the noise of hairdryer or vacum cleaner or wind/storm noise like these types of white noise? Helloooo can anybody hear meeee????

There is no correct answer and if you search on internet you will find many theories. Some say that it is an unconscious memory of the muffled noise we heard in the mother's womb, others that the sound helps to relax due to its repetition that makes it become an accompanying background sound. There are so many other theories but I don't think there is one right. Maybe it's a mix of all hehe. Meanwhile... happy relax :)

From what I've read around, it's got to do with our brain having a natural disposition to react to specific kinds of sound by generating brain waves and consequent body reactions. I can't say it in a more precise way, I actually prefer to enjoy it rather than unveil ist mysteries 😊😏
