Did you choose your channel name because you were seventeen when you started it? I seem to remember something about how in the US (i'm Dutch, obviously) the cicadas hibernate for seventeen years and then they all come out at once on the same day to mate and then they all die together. Weird question, but that's me...I'm one of those types who actually read the entire Hitchhiker's Guide omnibus back in '99. I love your demeanor, your cadence and your tranquil appearance, combined with the way you pronounce and annunciate everything with the perfect voice and the way you handle that particular keyboard. It reminded me of the first time I noticed what I found to be called ASMR years later in 2011. I was at a guys house for a college thing in 1994, when I found out that I did not want him to stop typing and using the mouse...the sound almost made me go cross-eyed, as in when you can't keep your eyes open any longer, I realised then that in that state i'd have agreed to anything just to let him continue typing and clicking, but of course at the same time I couldn't let him know about it either, since that would have just made me look like a complete twonk, so it lasted only about 15 minutes. I have no memory of what the assignment was about, but I never forgot that sensation. Thanks and good luck with your channel ! T.S.D.

@The Sighing Dutchman Thanks for sharing your story! :) In high school back in the 90's, some classmate went at my desk to borrow some of my wooden color pens. I couldn't stop looking and listening at his hand searching for the right pens. I wished it would never stop (and felt a little weird about it for many years). That was my first experience of the ASMR phenomenon, before I even knew it had a name. All those KZbin channels now are like a non-stop Christmas for me. Love Cicada's voice too.
