When my dad was hospitalized for complications from his hernia surgery... he was offered a hair cut by one of the nurses. Her son was taking courses to become a barber and would practice by doing free haircuts and shaves for patients. Its amazing how a shave or trim can lift your spirits and seem to help the healing process along.

I had a brain aneurysm rupture followed by 2 strokes in 2012. One of the very first things I remember when I woke up was a nurse (finally) washing my hair. It felt SO AMAZING! They had a little inflatable tub they put under my neck & head that collected the water. DEFINITELY one of the best feelings to wake up to! Especially since they hadn't washed my hair in close to 2 weeks! Unfortunately, my hair was SO MATTED from the neglect that we just shaved it all off when I saw how ridiculous I looked! They had already shaved the front of it when I first got to the hospital to accommodate the 2 drain tubes so the rest just had to go. I NEVER would have been able to get all the tangles out anyway! LOL!

And yes! I’m not sure it’s really a crinkly gown but it does make some nice subtle rustling sounds, doesn’t it. I don’t think we’ve done a haircut? Just a hair wash. Good evening Rachel! I just wanted to give a little review to this amazing video and answer some of the things you said and asked in the reply to my comment! I also wanted to send this donation as a thank you for being so caring sweet helpful and just an overall loving figure and great friend in my life! Also I am sorry that I still don't have my test results yet! I hate to keep my ASMR Mom waiting! Love that idea and nickname you came up with for that by the way lol! But yeah I keep asking my mom when my test results will come in and she keeps saying we don't have them yet! I promise as soon as I get them ill tell you! Onto the video! I loved every single trigger especially the crinkly ruler! I know that's a fan favorite among the whole community and understandably so! I loved the soapy cleanser sounds and of course the new addition of the haircut! Those sounds were very relaxing! It would be cool to see that addition return in future videos! Also I absolutely loved the moment where Chelsea was checking the patients I.V. and she was shocked and concerned and then when she said the last person to come in was Megan so she was the one who did it I found that to be so funny and a cute addition in the video! I laughed a little despite being so tired! Great to see the Chelsea Megan rivalry continuing! Though I trust that Megan really was trying and she just needs a little more learning then she will have it down 100%! Honestly that little moment made me look forward to the potential Chelsea Megan duo video that you said you might make even more now! Oh and the last thing about me calling the gown you wore a crinkly gown, I knew that those kinds aren't the same as the crinkly ones but I still called it a crinkly gown because I didn't have a good name for it yet lol! But when you pointed out that it makes tingly rustling sounds I got an idea to from now on call in the rustle gown! Aw, I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. It had been a really long time since I had done any kind of haircut asmr so it took me a minute to get the flow right but it was nice to do and since it has gone over well, I think I will add it in again in the future. Trying to find little things to add in here and there to change things up from time to time! It is actually an isolation gown, tho in school we called the OSHA gowns lol. The way the material is woven makes it impossible for anything to soak through while still being (somewhat) breathable. And actually, maybe one day I’ll find a way to work it in a video… when you scratch them, it makes a very nice sound. I just don’t really do intentional asmr so I haven’t found a way to incorporate that. One day I will make a video with both Chelsea and Megan and a lot of passive aggression! 🤣🤣 I film at 3 am so I’ll have to figure out a way to be more awake to film it because I wake up at 2 am to get ready and it’s easy to make asmr because I’m still half asleep 😂 tho sometimes I end up forgetting lights or messing up the English language. To do an interactive rp, I’ll have to be pretty awake. And no worries on the test scores, haha! That’s just an important test so I want to know tho I’m sure you did great!! ❤️❤️❤️

Even though the sounds the gown makes aren't intentional from you I like the idea of you incorporating intentional noises from the OSHA gowns! @@zzzzzzxxxxxxxxx okay I *think* I hear it? I pulled out my extra sensitive headphones. I actually think it’s the shock mount my mic is sitting on. Is it like, a bass-y sort of noise? In combination with my son’s white noise machine. I film at 3 am so there aren’t so many planes and sometimes it picks up. I did notice there are moments of extra bass when I was editing and I tried to fix most of them tho clearly missed many… I think it’s time to get new shock mounts for my mics. Thanks for making me aware.

Do you have a fidget or a game you can play to help distract you? I’ve found for me and my son (he isn’t autistic but he has OCD and ADHDand has similar sensory issues) that if you can distract with a different sensation in your hands, like with one of those clicking or textured fidgets, or focus on a phone game you really like to play, that can help. Or try going through the process of getting your hair cut step by step so you can sort of help your brain know how long each part should last. Either way, I know you will get through it and feel better after it is done!
