Hi, I just installed oh my fish, but instead of an anchor sign (icon) I'm getting "?", I checked locale and I'm using UTF-8, any suggestions why icons may not work? Win10 Pro latest ver WSL2 (Ubuntu 22.04).

Hi there :) Here are some suggestions: Font and Terminal Compatibility: The icons might not be displaying due to compatibility issues with the font used in your terminal. Make sure you're using a font that supports the icons used by Oh My Fish. The popular choice is "Nerd Fonts" which includes a wide range of icons. You can download and install a Nerd Font of your choice and configure your terminal to use that font. Terminal Emulator Configuration: The terminal emulator you're using might not have proper Unicode support or might need specific configurations to display icons correctly. Check the terminal emulator settings or documentation to ensure that it's set up to properly render Unicode characters and symbols. WSL2 Configuration: WSL2 might have some specific configuration requirements to display icons correctly. Try updating your WSL2 instance to the latest version, and also ensure that UTF-8 support is properly configured within your WSL2 terminal. Check Locale Settings Again: While you mentioned that you checked your locale settings, it's worth double-checking that both the system locale and the locale within your WSL2 instance are set to UTF-8. You can use the locale command within WSL2 to verify the locale settings. Check Oh My Fish Configuration: Oh My Fish might have its own configuration settings related to icons. Check the Oh My Fish documentation for any specific settings you might need to configure to enable icons. Check Oh My Fish Theme: The theme you're using in Oh My Fish might have its own set of icons or might rely on specific fonts. Ensure that you're using a compatible theme that is known to work with icons. Restart the Terminal and WSL2: Sometimes, simply restarting your terminal and WSL2 instance can resolve certain display issues. Update Oh My Fish: Make sure you're using the latest version of Oh My Fish, as newer versions might include fixes for icon-related issues. Seek Help from the Community: If none of the above solutions work, you can also ask for help on the Oh My Fish community forums or GitHub repository. Other users or maintainers might have encountered similar issues and can provide guidance.

Hi, thanks for the video. How do you make it so that the terminal retains transparency when out of focus? For me the acrylic effect disables as soon as I focus on another window.

Instead of using the windows subsystem for linux. If you have decided for a long time then run the original linux as it is the best and you'll get the best experience of all! But that is my opinion lol...

I agree, and I have 3 other machines all of them with different distro installed on, in fact I might be using Linux longer than you lol... but thanks for the comment anyway
