ASMR 🧚 Is Fae Farm the Cozy Game for YOU? ✨ Soft Spoken Gameplay & Review

So... I've had the game now for around three days now and I will say that I have about 12 hours already. I continue to be more and more impressed with Fae Farm's gameplay, the game FEELS fantastic to play. There's so many QoL additions that make it a truly cozy experience, I never feel too stressed out by any elements of the game and I always l look forward to playing more. I've been asking myself, "But is it worth $40??" After all, I have played MANY other similar farming sim/cozy games on the channel that are priced far lower that I've also loved. But often those game do lose me somewhere in the 10-20 hours range as my interest wanes. So maybe it's time we start valuing cozy games a little higher. I do think it's worth it so far to have a game I know I'm going to be enjoying for MANY more hours as I'm still unlocking fun, new content. I'm curious how many of you feel the same!

This is so exciting, as soon as I saw this game I thought of you and its finally happening! It's also great to hear your thoughts on this game, a game review is definitely something valuable coming from you; this game in particular since I've been on the fence because of its hefty price point. If I can squeeze a little bit more of an opinion out of you lol, may I ask for your opinion on the difficulty and depth of the game? I've heard recently that alot of people say its TOO easy and that the systems and mechanics (like relationships and decorating your house) are very shallow, easy to complete and limited in options, leaving not much incentive to actually do them. I don't mind my cozy games being easy but I still like a little bit of a grind and challenge to keep me on my toes. Thanks for the honest review, cozy vibes and great times!

@@TheHydaeOne It definitely skews easy but not in a childish way I would say. One of the weakest aspects of the game by FAR is the NPCs and relationships with them. I largely don't even care to interact with them, they're like cute set dressing rather than characters. Decorating your house has an interesting mechanic that ties in with your health and energy so I am intrigued by that but overall it's not something I've found myself wanting to explore too much. It feels a little awkward to move furniture around too. I do think there's a healthy amount of grind still but don't expect it right off the bat, it eases you into the game slowly. One reason I love this channel is I have a thing where if I’m listening to something as I fall asleep, especially if there are descriptions or plot, it affects and sometimes shapes my dreams. I listened to a futuristic punk city play through one night and my dream took place in that city. I have chronic nightmares snd having these comfy games in the background can lessen them some nights. I can’t communicate how amazing it is to have a way to lessen my nightmares after years of only nightmares every single night. It makes just living life easier.

I was so excited about this game when it was first announced and then they announced the price 😅 i've heard so many good and bad things, so I'm excited you're sharing your thoughts!! It seems super cozy and I'm loving the vibes. There seems like a lot of exciting stuff, but I agree with a lot of your opinions and I already know I'm waiting for a sale! It's just way too much for a cozy game, especially with all the good ones that are out or releasing soon! 18:47 the way you said grilled greens was so tingly

I've already got about 15-18 hours on this one and I can't stop. Man oh man. It is pretty much Stardew Valley, I even make all the same mistakes (like not taking FOOD WITH ME INTO THE MINES, or in this case potions, but that might be a little spoilery). So far in my experience anyway, farming is like the thing I do the least. Most of the food and stuff I make, I end up selling it 'cause there's just so much of it. I am a little weirded out by the whole using magic fertilizer to change crops into other seasonal crops. I got stuck on this one quest because I thought I needed a spring crop to make the thing that I needed, but it was already summer. Then it turned out I was supposed to buy the spring crop (only to later notice that the crops in the shop grow in any season) and "change" it into a summer crop. Or something. Still trying to wrap my mind around that one. The animal care is also a little tedious, 'cause sometimes you need to do two things (e.g. pet and brush), but once you've done one of the things, you can't just press the button to do the other one. You have to walk away and then walk back up to them, to let the options "reload" I guess. That might just be a thing with the Switch version, which is what I'm playing. Not sure. The only other big thing is putting stuff away into storage. This might also just be a Switch thing, but you can press R to just put everything away, which would be nice, but it'll only put away stuff that's already in there to add to the existing stack you already have. If you have something new that isn't already in there, you have to press L to put those things in, one at a time. There might be a way around that that I just haven't noticed yet. Despite all that though, I can't stop playing it so I guess that's a good thing!

Yep, I agree with everything you say! I do think it's probably most comparable to SDV with some great QoL differences (JUMPING). I also don't farm a lot. I basically have those three little plots of three crops each STILL and I'm in the second season hahaha. There's just too many other things to do! No, I notice the exact same issue with the animals on PC. It's just a small but annoying thing to have to do. I do like that they can follow you around and I like that they need fresh air as a need, that's cute! Thanks so much for your thoughts, we all appreciate it!

This game got so much flack online about its pricing but I’m SO GLAD I got it. I’m so in love with it. Probably never gonna spend this much on a cozy game again, but I’m not disappointed in the game.

I'm right there with you. I was SO certain I wasn't going to get it too until I started hearing really good things. And I agree with those positive reviews! I wouldn't mind paying $40 again if it were a very high caliber game but it's gotta be good. My standards are high! I like to support devs who put a lot of effort into creating a game that I'm going to enjoy for hours on end so it feels worth it to me.

The game totally not worth the full price ( 66$ ). The base price of the game should be 35-40. But yea it is what it is. Its kinda funny here and there. Thank for the vid 😊

I think this game is worth it on steam but NOT switch. The quality is subpar IMO and they force you to buy the DLCs that aren’t released yet.

That makes total sense. I really don't think it's fair to force the $60 price point on Switch players too when I had an option (and obviously chose the lower price). We just don't know if this future DLC is going to be worth an EXTRA $20 on top of the already high price.
