As a french, I think I can explain the PFK. In France, we just call it KFC, but if I remember correctly, Quebec has a law that "forces" translations. "Chicken" translates to "Poulet", and "Fried" to "Frit" (the T is silent), and so I guess PFK stands for "Poulet Frit du Kentucky"
