Props to you for finding a nailpolish that matches the colour of the yarn! This was so cozy to watch and knit along too! 10/10!

If you like crochet, I'd guess you'll like knitting too! It's so relaxing. I'd love to learn to crochet properly too, I found it a bit more difficult so I'm still learning :) It's awesome that you crochet, I'd love to be really good at it!

If you know how to crochet, you know the basics of how the motion goes for the knit stitch, you can learn to cast on with a chain a few different ways to make the transition easier, and the continental style method of holding the yarn is usually how many crocheters hold theirs. Purling is a whole separate monster tho 🤣🤣 Hope this inspired you!

What she is doing at the beginning of the video is called a knit stitch, super easy. Generally right needle picks up the front side of the loop (stitch), push through backside, wrap yarn around the right needle. Pull needle back and push off the back part of the original loop from left needle. It’s the first stitch I learned.

I return to this video everytime I need some calm. Sleeping, crocheting, knitting, relaxing after a long day. Its just the right amount of time that I dont have to restart it a bunch of times but I also don't have to worry about it staying on for too long after I fall asleep. I got a new account recently and couldn't remember the video as I used to have it in a playlist instead of searching, so glad I found it again. Great video, thanks for posting!

I've just started knitting again after many, many years of "i'll teach myself this time" and I finally understand how to do it (in the basics) and I cant put down my needles. Totally not watching this tonight so that I can pretend your hands are mine and that I'm still knitting without giving myself carpal tunnel

Thanks so much! To get started, there are some great projects which only need one or two basic knitting stitches, which aren't too difficult. Once you get used to those, I found it was much easier to pick up some of the more complex stuff. You can do it!!!

is knitting hard for beginners? i kinda wanna start knitting if i get the sudden urge to
@kiniticsasmr2 жыл бұрын
Hiya! It's not too difficult to get started at all, if you start with a simple stitch. I definitely recommend it, knitting is so relaxing! I began by making scarves with a simple knit-stitch only, which helped to become comfortable with the basics. Then I gradually added in slightly more complex stitches and patterns as I became more confident. If you're interested in some step-by-step instructions, there's some really great beginners tutorials on youtube which go through how to make a knit-stitch scarf :)

:D Very fair question!! It's a little tricky, but I have a camera stand with the camera in front of my chair, which I reach around from both sides. It works fairly well I think, but can take some trial and error to get a good camera angle while still being able to see what I'm doing! :)

Try and find one of those flexible tripods, looking on Amazon would be your best bet first since you can find anything on Amazon. You could position it behind you and maybe do a slight zoom to your hands. That way you don’t have the phone in front of you and you having to reach around. Just a suggestion my loves 😍

@kiniticsasmr Жыл бұрын
I completely understand what you mean, although I was the other way around! I learned to knit, and then couldn't get my head around crochet for a while! If you're starting to knit, I found it easiest to focus on one or two basic stitches to begin, making scarves and blankets to get used to them. Then when I was comfortable with those, I gradually added more complex techniques. :)
