Maybe it is more realistic with the following procedure: Set an arbitrary prescription in the device. Switch the camera to manual focus. Focus withe the prescription until sharp. Now don't change the focus of the camera but remove the lenses or switch to the starting configuration. Then search for the presciption using the medical technique.

Hey man, this was really was very good. Cracking job with the camera and actually managing to capture the changes in the lenses whilst looking through the phoropter. Others have tried and failed at re-creating this effect, they've still been good ASMR videos but the added realism present in this video made it stand out from the rest, SRP you are a visionary in the world of optical ASMR.

A month ago I said this would be the holy grail. Many agreed and you commented about the setup challenge. This is your second attempt, and while I’m excited to watch this I first have to say I’m blown away with your dedication. I was using ASMR to sleep before there was KZbin (bob ross DVD’s). I've only seen one other video like this. Bluewhisper used a phoropter (I think) in a longer eye exam roleplay, but hers was a visual overlay instead of the real thing I think. It was really well done graphically, but it's cool to see someone use the actual thing! I also really like your dialogue.

Most stressful part in eye exam. Scared i’m gonna pick the wrong one. Luckily they do take autorefractor measurements beforehand to get a baseline of what your prescription is for each eye. The 1 ot 2 thing is just fine tuning the prescription to make sure you are comfortable with the autorefractor results.

IMO Good phoropter content is a majorly underserved segment of ASMR RP videos. There are a few bright spots but it seems like a lot of creators avoid it for technical reasons when they do eye exam videos. Hoping you continue to make more content like this!

I just want to share, when I was in clinic for this test and I was alone in that room, all I could hear was the clicking of the materials and her soft spoken voice and it made me sleepy. It was really very relaxing there, it was too quiet 😂 I want to go back there for that to experience it again personally just for that only 😂
