You are pretty good at the game, You can also make a lectern, which is crafted by 1 bookshelf and 4 wooden slabs, bookshelfs can be crafted with 6 planks of any wood and 3 books, Lecterns are villagers that can give enchanting books, If you get fortune 3 on a diamond pickaxe, you can get more ores rather then just 1, you have a chance getting 1-4 diamonds per diamond you mine, it even works with other ores, or you can get a looting 3 book which killing mobs give more drops which is equivalent to fortune but with mobs. Hope this helps :)

Cant receive the arrows unless u go down where the skeleton was and retrieve the arrows he drops when you attack him. Same with spiders and their string, or the creeper drops gun powder when you shoot him. Just careful not to ever get close to one and they explode near u.
