I've read the books multiple times. Watched the movies literally hundreds of times (no joke, lost count at 102 for The Two Towers). Read every single card in the LOTR trivial pursuit board game. Played the video games, listen to the soundtracks regularly. Watched the hours of behind the scenes videos. Even read a behind the scenes book (forget what it was, or how I got it). I'd replay scenes to get elvish words and pronunciation correct. I synced up the moria scene in Fellowship with the one in Two Towers to show context. I have an Anduril replica, though I wish I could afford more... Big time nerd over those movies/books All that, and yet you had some facts that I didn't know. Kudos.

I love this video! We've been go New Zealand twice, to see the beautiful country, and geek out on Lord of the Rings tourism. We've visited dozens upon dozens of sites from the movie, and Weta Studio. We also had second breakfast at Hobbiton.

@@LizzieLestrangeASMR If you want, give me a few days, and I can put together a list of all the random filming spots we stopped at. There are so, so many spots, scattered all over both islands! We can show you Fanghorn Forest, where Gandalf the White made his first appearance.....The river Anduin, where the Fellowship paddle after leaving Lothlorien, which is also the same river where Arwen makes her stand against the Wraiths. And the Weta Cave/Studio tour is 100% worth it!!! You can hold actual weapons and armour from the films. Plus, it's just a 10 minute drive from Old Forest, where the Hobbits where chased by the Wraiths. We also stumbled across an area they were prepping for the Amazon series in Middle-earth. It was an area they used for the swamp, in the movies, but it's actually dry, up in the mountains. They had it dug out, though, with plants being placed around, and a wood path they were covering in grasses and mud, before filling it up with water. Nobody was around, so I ran around it, like a goofball.

How odd would Nicholas Cage have been as Aragorn? I also read that Stuart Townsend was supposed to be Aragorn before Viggo took it over. I think they made the right choice. Those movies have a special place for me because the books were the first adult level books I ever read. I was five.
