It's very good. You use a lot of descriptive power words and noun phrases that evoke very strong imagery through their simplicity. "Collapsed bridge" - "collapsed" is a power word, as is "crystal". These are useful because they have imagery attached to them that is universal (we all know what a crystal looks like) and that makes them easier to read. They basically condense a sentence's worth of description down to one word. Very effective. Just keep doing it!

I consider stories like that the equivalent of clouds in the sky to a visual designer. Often I look at clouds or doodles and use them as springboard for visual ideas. Your story does the same thing to me. Every sentence can be applied a meaning, and so the listener is doing half the work in their mind. :) Discovering beauty in unexpected places, clear communication without cumbersome words, jumping in without regrets. Not very deep interpretations, I know, but the point remains. :)

You definitely created a vivid story, I could imagine everything as you described it & felt submersed in it as it was read. I know it's supposed a short story, but it feels like you could do a lot more with the story if you decided to continue, which is great :D

The way I pictured it, maybe since the last time the speaker had skipped rocks there, "Magnolia" had died or moved or gone away somehow. The image of wading into a creek at dusk make me think of having to "heal" (maybe why you mentioned Magnolia being baptized there?). The speaker jumped into the water and kind of sat suspended under the surface, just taking in the creek and sort of absorbing the idea of whatever happened to Magnolia, finally able to heal after jumping in as a "memorial", and watching the butterflies, and worries escape as bubbles, finally releasing and healing and being lead to the "Northern Lights"- in my opinion, maybe the speaker stayed underwater too long and blacked out? But returned to the surface, thankful for taking the dusk time to renew. (long comment, weird idea, lovely story!)

This was really beautiful! I almost as though you're self-conscious about the concept of your story. It seems to you like you think it's a little ridiculous. Having confidence in your "voice" (your writing voice) is just as important as using a lot of detail when it comes to making a work of fantasy believable and relateable. The one thing that really stuck out to me was when you said "I swim closer to look; and there, illuminating the water, are The Northern Lights". You really do a fantastic job with your description of the lights, so I would suggest leaning upon it a bit more heavily by describing them before you say what exactly they are. Putting a name to them will tie together the reader/listener's imaginations and allows you to have more influence on the image in their head. Those are just my opinions though, one enthusiast to another. Again, great job and I love all of your videos :)
@ChristenNoel

That is wonderful advice! Thank you so much. A very good idea. Changing it to something like "there, illumaniting the water, are bright beams of purple, green, blue, and yellow. They rise and fall as the colors change and swell. The Northern Lights. Captivating as I always imagined them." Or something along those lines :) I really appreciate your input. Thank you so much

If possible, I think it would be cool to hear that story being told at the same time as you create your asmr sounds. You could do different triggers for different parts of the story, like, Crinkling for the wind rustling the trees and jumping in the water parts, ear to ear mic touching for the swimming down the river and northern lights part, and just things like that. The sounds wouldn't and probably shouldn't be exactly representative of the stories events, rather just background noise to accentuate parts of the story. just a thought.

I thought the story was cool but the only thing is that usually short stories have broader underlying meanings that talk about things like racism or really any social issue that is popular. You don't have to do that really, but it makes for cool childrens stories when you look back at them as an adult =D
