When I make this I bake the sweet potatoes whole, let them cool and scoop the insides into a bowl. It's a lot less work than peeling, cubing and boiling and the potatoes are even sweeter after baking.

For regular potatoes, I put some pepper in the water to keep the foam down, and place a wooden spoon on the top. It will still foam up, but not as much. My sister loves sweet potatoes, so I'm going to make this for her. Thanks for sharing and showing us how to make it Mary.

I honestly love your channel so much. Your personality is so kind, caring and mature. I was so sad when I heard about the “drama” as I was so worried that someone had hurt you. Honestly I haven’t really looked much into it but from what I have heard I really don’t think it’s fair how you were treated . I never really say much online about things like politics etc and I really don’t like how people try to say that I don’t care because I am not doing anything to help. In fact I am not saying anything as I don’t want anything to “taint” my brand (e.g if I am misinformed and people take it the wrong way) and also it just isn’t anything to do with my company. I really do hope that you are feeling better now and always remember that we are always here for you. From what I have heard Karuna has been in a lot of drama so I am not surprised. This looks good. My recipe is a little easier as it calls for a large can of sweet potatoes and it takes just minutes to put together. 😀. I love sweet potato casserole. Also you can use a mixer on low instead of whisking and it turns out just as good😊😊 (it’s really ok to tweak recipes and make it easier on yourself).

I'm Irish and had never tried these until I became close friends with a girl from New York who moved over here... She told me about sweet potato casserole with marshmallows and everything and I was like "ugh that sounds gross". IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I'VE EVER PUT IN MY MOUTH. That precious meow!!! I've got a cat that looks like Olive. Her name is Spencer Reid. When I got her she was very sick with an intestinal issue. My vet had only seen one other kitten survive what she had. I spent a week laying butt naked on my bathroom floor with her because she had really bad diarrhea (sorry about the TMI, but it was necessary). She made it through and 8 years later she is about 18 pounds! I've got 2 other cats also. Love me some cats and sweet potatoes.

I make this recipe a lot. It gets rave reviews. To save a step I bake the potatoes (or microwave) and just scoop out the potato after it cools. And I sprinkle the topping on instead of spreading. So good.

Cubing just makes them cook faster. You could peel them and chunk them up into bigger pieces. Just have to cook them longer. Or else just microwave them or bake and scoop.
