This video is really relaxing. Reminds me of this time I was hurt really badly and the nurse started running her hands through my hair (i guess to calm me down because i couldn't hear due to blown ear drums and was starting to freak out) when the morphine/sedative took effect. I think thats what heaven must feel like. I can't describe how wonderful i felt. This vid reminds me so much of it. I think I'll be watching this tonight when its time to goto sleep. I have a feeling I'll be out cold in moments. =))))))

I definitely can relate to this video. I have had so many different surgeries over the years (shunt, eye and kidney stone) and each time I’ve always been nervous of anesthesia. The doctors always put warm blankets over me so that helped. This video makes it seem not as scary. Thank you so much for taking excellent care of me Dr Shanny!! ❤️

When I had surgery back in 2015 to have my left leg amputated below the knee, I wish the anesthesiologist would’ve been as sweet and as comforting as you are Shanny. Your voice is so soothing. This was very well done. You’re amazing. ❤️

If I actually had to be put under, I'd look my anesthesiologist in the eye, and start attacking. Literally. Black eye and a broken nose. I'm HORRIFIED at the thought of being put under. Plus, who needs anesthetics when we have your soothing voice?! This is the very first video of yours I ever saw and now I watch it at least once a day. This is how I sleep and your Positive Affermations video is how I wake up after my workouts. I am very horrified at the thought of being put under and hope I never have to bc I'm afraid that I'll never wake up. While I've never had a surgery before, if I did, I wish you were an actual anesthesiologist. If it was anyone else they'd end up with a broken limb and a black eye. Your so calming and relaxing that I wouldn't even be able to think of hurting you bc you're that good!!! (There needs to be a part 2 with us waking up and the usual after surgery vital checks and such) EDIT: It's like you can read my mind. Every time I start to freak out is when you get even more reassuring. How do you do that?!

You shouldn't worry about not waking up. I had the same fear as you going into surgery. I fought with the doctors for a really long time. But those same doctors were also the ones that saved my life when I stopped breathing. So you shouldn't worry. The surgeons and doctors are trained to save you if something goes wrong

This happened to me today...I started giving fist bumps to everyone, shouting that my family were good people and on the ride home I was interpretive dancing. Also this is so realistic! If your getting this soon:The blood pressure thing squeezes but it kinda makes you laugh cause it doesn’t hurt. 2. The thingy for your finger doesn’t hurt at all like...it’s like wearing a hard plastic glove. With the laughing gas you don’t feel the I.V it feels like a tiny needle ...but it doesn’t hurt as much as a needle and an I.V is supposed to hurt more than I needle but with the laughing gas you don’t feel it. Lastly, the laughing gas is awesome and nobody ever actually says stupid things. They usually just laugh and cry. (The nurse said that boys usually laugh and girls usually cry.) But, I didn’t cry even though I’m a girl.
