As it’s the month of Muharram. I’m going to tell you’ll the story of karbala. If you wanna know and read. It’s the real story. The story of Hussain ibn Ali. Who was Hussain ibn Ali? He was the grandson of prophet Muhammad saw know if you’re non Muslim you must be thinking that this story is related with Muslims. No, it’s not Muslims it’s humanity. Every year many Christians Hindus sikhs and non Muslims go to imam Hussain's grave because they know the story of karbala that make their heart cry. What is this story about? This story is about sacrifice of Hussain ibn Ali. He sacrificed his youthful 18 years old son, his 6 months old baby, his brothers, his nephews, his friends, his family, the veil of his sisters , he sacrificed his whole family and himself in the desert of karbala. Why he sacrificed? He did because that was the only way humanity could be saved only way to save islam was his blood. Story: When imam Hussain a.s was born. An angel came and told to prophet that your grandson will be killed lonely in the desert of Karbala to save islam. He started crying. Imam Hussain made promise with his grandfather in childhood that he would save humanity and Islam even if he has to give his blood. Imam Hussain a.s mother Bibi Fatima s.a always loved his son so much and took care of his thirst and hunger specially because she knew that he would get killed by thousands of people lonely with hunger and thirst of 3 days. How the story of Karbala started? When imam Hussain's elder brother hassan ibn Ali died by poison and the people attacked with arrows on his dead body, after some years his death. The caliph of that time was alcoholic, sexual, oppressor, and bad character. He had sex with his own mother. He oppressed people and was completely blind in the love of money. His name was yazid. He tried to gain the support of imam Hussain so everyone would support him, but imam refused to support him, he said the person like me would never support the person like you. After this yazid started planning to kill imam Hussain a.s. Imam Hussain now knew that yazid will kill him. He left his city for hajj. His daughter bibi sughra s.a wanted to go with them but imam refused and said this journey is difficult and you’re ill my daughter, and another reason was that bibi sughra face was like imam Hussain mother face and he knew that after his martyrdom all the ladies will lost their veils and become prisoners and would have to walk from city to city and people will make their show and laugh and insult them and throw stones and boiled water at them. He didn’t wanted that people see his mother's alike without veil. Bibi sughra cried a lot and really wanted to go.but at last he said if you wanna go it’s fine but atleast leave my brother asghar ( he was at that time 10 days old) with me. All came one after one to take Asghar but he would not come to anyone. After that imam Hussain came but asghar held his sister's arms. Imam Hussain said something in his little ears, he said if you wanna stay it’s okay I’ll be attacked with a lot of arrows I’ll also take the arrow in your place. Hearing this he left his sister arm and came to imam. Bibi sughra said at last dad atleast invite me to my brother akbar ( 18 years old) wedding. Imam hussain knew that akbar will get married to death, he knew he will get ready as a groom by blood. Imam left at last, he went to hajj in makkah but when he received the letters that people from city of kuffa and shaam are calling him. They want imam to help them and wanna get rid of that oppressor caliph. Imam Hussain send his friend Muslim bin aqeel to get updates. He went their and when all the people supported him. He called imam Hussain. So Imam Hussain left and changed his hajj into umrah ( shorter form of hajj) and left. But as soon he left all the people in that city went against Muslim bin aqeel and killed him alone with thirst and dropped his body from tower, at his last time his only wish to tell imam that don’t come here they all betrayed us. Imam reached an area where all the horses stop and would not move. He changed many horses but none moved. He asked the name of that place someone said mariya someone said nainwa and last a person said karbala. Imam heard this and said inan ilahi wa ina ilahi rajiun ( from Allah we came and to Allah we will return) ( we say it on someone’s death and imam knew that karbala was place for their death). They placed tents near the river. Do you wanna know what happened in Karbala?
