Yeah it’s not a rumor. We got an internal announcement sent to our employee resource page a few days ago confirming it. I could see it coming tho, when I would work, we’d never see any sales come from our physical movie section, and honestly from the game section as well. Pretty crazy honestly and I don’t agree with it

The world is moving towards digital look at computers nobody buys physical anymore most computers don’t even have a disk reader it’s all in digital storefronts like Steam, GOG and Epicgames. I used to work at a video game store back in 2018 it was already failing to meet quota back then and was shutdown shortly before covid.

I always install a disc drive on any PC builds I do and people make fun of me for it. I’ve ripped a ton of movies and TV shows I’ve rented from the library for my Plex server though lol.

1st of all you cannot scratch a digital copy because it aint a disc and second of all you cant lose your copy in a fire or water damage 😂 the fire part happened to me

1st of all, you do not own the games you “buy” digitally. You purchase the rights to use the game from the company you pay. If a company loses the rights, does not renew the rights, and discontinues support for a particular digital platform, you lose the movie or the game. You own nothing. 2nd of all… actually there is no second of all. That’s it.
