Sorry. I don’t have a passport. :) Instead, I live in one of 5 US states that offer an enhanced driver's license. It allows land and sea travel to Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. I took a short walking trip to Mexico, and the border guard didn't ask any kind of identification. Returning to the US, I was asked at the border and again at the customs station.
