Most people started watching Asmr in lofi quality because there were no high quality streamers several years ago. Now it’s all high quality and over edited. Lofi soft spoken is my fav. Whispering is hard for my brain to process but high def sound is overstimulating, its hearing things i don't normally and thats not relaxing. The minute a smaller channel orders a fancy mic, i get worried its gonna change the vibe.

My favorite oddly specific trigger (visual) is when the asmrtist completely covers the camera with their hand, turning the whole screen black. It multiplies my sleepiness bar by like 500% and makes my eyelids feel heavier than taking all the groceries in at once it’s crazy yo lol

If you can’t figure out what you wanna do, get a notebook and write everything you don’t wanna do or didn’t like from your past old jobs. That could help narrow down things for you

The most oddly specific one would be the grinding sound a wooden mortar and pestle make. Other than that the more common nail/plastic/surface tapping or fabric scratching, especially something sharp like jeans.

I prefer dry sounding asmr. I think lofi microphones tend to pick up less of the wet mouth sounds when just talking so that's probably why I like it so much. I'm on team lofi!!!
