I'm reading peoples comments talking about how their mothers would trace and caress their face while they lay on her lap, and now I feel like I'm really missing out. My mom has never done that, and tbh she isn't really affectionate in that sense. If I layed on her lap she'd probably say something along the lines of: "What are you doing?!" Or "You're too big to be doing that.." So here's a reminder that you guys are pretty lucky to have gentle affectionate moms.

This reminds me of the time a friend was taking care of me. We'd go hangout every week and have some drinks, I always walked her home and wouldn't turn around until to go home myself until I saw her get in her door. One night someone else mixed me a drink and it was way to strong and it pushed me over the edge which had never happened before. I just collapsed on her front yard. She came back to me really concerned getting me up and got me inside and put me to bed with her. When I woke up my head was nestled into her shoulder and she was running her fingers through my hair. Once she was awake enough she gently shifted over telling me to stay and relax. She got up and made me breakfast.
