I finally realized why I love your outfits of the week videos. When you showed the stripped heels, it triggered a memory of my grade school teacher who was my fashionista idol. She had the best outfits from head to toe and never wore anything twice. I always dreamed I would grow up to be as cool and together as she was. She carried herself with such elegance and style. That dress ( excellent choice, by the way) will rock a denim over blouse, for a casual look. Add a leather belt and cowboy boots. You were quite right to use the Tuesday shoes as the accent pop, rather than the main theme. Going with the black dress was exactly the way to go. The yellow and blue pops on top echo , but don't shout, the shoes. Brava. You obviously have a very firm grasp on a simple truth: Good taste has nothing to do with how much you pay for something.
