One thing that helped me ignore what other people think is trying to remember other people's embarrassing life events that I've witnessed. 9 times out of 10, I can't think of a single one. So everyone who witnessed *my* embarrassing life events have also forgotten them

Self care feels like a chore because it is. It's sacrifice. You are sacrificing something in the present - time, energy, attention, comfort - for a better future. This is a fundamental aspect of life across domains. Diet, working out, studying, avoiding temptation, pushing yourself... it's all sacrifice.

Congratulations on your new job, and on your confrontation with anxiety. As someone with a long neck that's always in pain, I'm at a loss for how to advise you on the pain. Sometimes there's nothing you can do.

Your body is connected, like rubber bands. They get into knots. Get a lacrosse ball or a dense massage ball and roll out your muscles. Your neck, your back, your gluten, your legs and your feet. I'm telling you, you will feel amazing and your neck relief will be palpable.

The older you get, the less you will care about what others think of you. One of the most common comments about individuals looking back over their lives, is how much they regret wasting time trying to please others, and not spending more time supporting themselves. Also, anxiety is a very real, very terrible emotional challenge, but one's mind is very plastic, and can be re-programmed so that you can enjoy life more. Please keep the sensitivity that brings tears to your eyes over seeing beauty forever.

Hi Alise, thank you for another great video! I'm more than glad to see you're doing good amidst the usual up and downs of life. Also, big congratulations on getting the job you wanted! Here's me hoping for a future vlog when you get to work! Actually, I've got a job interview myself tomorrow, so I wish things go smoothly there just like they did for you. I'm a bit nervous so I'll surf your channel for a while before going to bed. Thanks for your service haha. Take care ❣️

When I was younger I used to wash it everyday , but for a time it was necessary. Eventually I was just doing it because it was habit. I forget when , but within the past few years I stopped doing that. Now I wash it when it feels like I need to, like say my hair feels too greasy or whatever. Oh and I’m American, but yes I’ve always heard from people I know and online over years on why we shouldn’t wash it everyday. I personally think our bodies are all so very different that for hair washing and other things it all depends on the individual.

Why does self care feel as chores do? Somedays I wake up and feel like I am in the movie 🎬 Groundhog Day. Anything I consider fun is polar opposite of chores. Chores are not fun for me. That's why they're chores. Examples for me personally. Trying to play chess sober? Nope. Feels like chores/homework. Playing chess with 🍺 and getting drunk? Yeppers, it works when I am rested up. Feels just as fun. Love your expressions on anxiety. You are absolutely right. Always thrilled to hear from you. Love you so much🌬❤️💜🍀

I've heard about the weird judging in Japan for eating by oneself. Although your friend sounds caring and friendly, but the social environment does sound a bit toxic to me. But you are very brave to insist going and stayed out of your comfort zone a bit. I also follow your IG account and your daily and modeling pics were wonderful! But do whatever makes you feel good and stop whenever you are stressed out. Anyway, glad to hear all the updates about your life, and your voice is so comforting as usual! 😘

Alise, I turn 23 this month. Also, don't worry about living in the country. I live in rural Tennessee and it's better than living in the city, especially if you want to do asmr. Though it does mean that it takes an ~1 hour to get to the city.

She is a very humble person, all these other female asmr artists are in lots of makeup and go all out with there nails but she is simple. There is beautiful in her simplicity and it allows you to see how kind and human she is. That's amazing to see.

Congrats on the JET job! Considering how English is pretty common relatively speaking in the larger population centers in Japan I have a feeling they might put you in a more rural area but I could be totally wrong about that. Either way this is a big step for you! If they do take you somewhere pretty far what's going to happen with your modelling job? Will you do the commute or quit it? As for the negativity and such, I'm of the opinion that everyone else has done something embarrassing or stupid if they want to hurl insults or be negative then that shows more about them then it does about you. There are ways to say something potentially negative without being an a-hole about it. Last but not least, It's indeed very interesting about Japanese culture and the family unit. I know that historically/culturally speaking the child/parent relationship works both ways as it's expected that the children take care of their parents when they're too old to live on their own. I think that's fallen out of favor a bit in the last 20 years but it's still a huge part of the culture there.

Don’t wash your hair everyday. Industry is just trying to sell you more stuff: washing the natural oils out, just to put other stuff in. Also: your hair will adapt, so you will need to wash it everyday after a while, if you start doing it.

I was under the impression that girls did not wash their hair everyday because it strips the hair of natural oils and stuff (a conclusion I had came upon myself until I had learned girls don't wash their hair every day either. But oddly enough (idk if it is just genes or whatever) Japanese women's hair is still thick and luxurious and I don't think I recall ever seeinf a Japanese woman with weak and frizzy hair.

I am surprised as to hear you have anxiety and insecurities. I know it’s a reality as even Chrissy Costanza from Against The Current and her songs help with my high anxiety. If I saw you I would be so nervous to be near you I would be a scratched cd without skip protection. Or never even talk and approach you out of fear. Mean while I am ripping myself a new one during and afterwards. Congrats on the JET job and I am glad you found a passion for which you could make money off of in acting.
