I always wonder who buys their stuff because most of the time small businesses are so expensive, you can get the same thing for cheaper somewhere else

Exactly cheaper cheaper products rarely mean better quality the thing with small businesses is they are putting their time their own money and often times don’t see a profit or income for 1-2 years I’ve heard of some not taking off till year 4 but what people don’t consider is the cost of materials and time the manufacturers don’t hand “pack” or make each product like about idk I’ll say about 70% ish (don’t quote me just estimating based off what I’ve seen) small businesses like myself do I get the saying they are so expensive and a lot of the time people under price their products because “people can get it cheaper else where” it’s actually a very discouraging comment -anyone makes I’m not coming at you promise again just what I’ve seen my own experience etc..- that people often make a lot of these small businesses want to become successful there are people who buy from them and their stuff most ***most*** of the time is better quality and better checked for damages mishaps things like that where as bigger companies don’t tend to do those on the scale small businesses do plus you get their time and thoughts while small businesses pack your order and often times when you spend so much they give things like free gifts -freebies I’ve noticed are pretty much for every order- cute packaging I get that the cute packaging seems like a waste and I’ve wondered that to but honestly I think it means a little more that the time was taken to make cute packaging and stuff like that I’m not trying to attack or sound like well a bitch or Karen but it’s just what I’ve seen, exprienced, noticed and all that stuff my own feelings are heavily poured into alot of the things I’ve made and no I have had any orders yet but I’ve always not been very active about posting new products and spreading the word because I’ve been so busy see I myself am a mother and I wanted to be able to give something to my kid or kids when I pass that’s my dream with my business does that make any sense what so ever probably not

@@hopereaver5595 yeah I totally get what you mean. The small business experience is different because of the packaging, small gifts, notes etc. I personally really appreciate that but especially now with the inflation a lot of people need to cut back and try to save money so obviously they’ll often go for something cheaper. Anyway I hope everything works out for you and your hard work pays off!

There's garnered a lot of "small business resellers" per se and I think that's why people tend to have a problem with what the businesses are charging. They buy cheap and "aesthetic" items off of sites like Aliexpress and sell them off as their own at double, if not triple, the original price point. I have no problem with sellers who actually put time and effort into their work to justify what they're charging, but cheap resellers are what's giving the small business branding a sour name
