Hows the cooling in the case first time builder here and looking at the y60 with the 6950 for my first case and gpu but my buddy is telling me its a little big and can possibly be a over kill with the cooling thanks in advance with any information 🙏🏽

You use an rog power supply with the screen on it, but you can't see it with the case you picked. That's odd. Also, everything is pretty much an rog build. Why not choose an rog graphics card to match?

I don't really subscribe to the "everything must match" theory. Though in this case, I couldn't get my hands on an ROG 6950Xt in time for this video. Also, with the regards go the PSU, I already had it lying around when I got the case so there's that. End of the day, it's my money, I can build whatever Frankenstein PC I want. I can always just switch out the parts if and when I fancy.

Nice build. My favorite case, Hyte y60 because of its minimalistic design (less is more). All AMD components are very nice and practical in power, efficiency, and price. Might want to get 1tb nvme and a ssd. Put windows on ssd and games(really intensive games) on nvme. Will run quicker

Hey did you have to update the bios or anything after making it? Most motherboards seem to need one for the 5800X3D and I'm trying to narrow my mobo choice with one thats compatible out of the box, if there aren't any out there I'm gonna have to learn how to update without a second CPU 😅

Rad went up top with three fans...it's a compartment. It's meant to be hidden but you can also do more fans where you would normally see them.

Aesthetics probably. Thermally, this system will struggle with all those hot components. Especially with that GPU and CPU combo.

It won't really because the case is relatively large with good amount of ventilation. Also, I had my rads working in exhaust so it won't dump hot air into the case. However, I added a couple of fans as intakes after I shot this video just so I can afford to run all these fans slower and quieter.

Not always, but they do restrict airflow in SOME cases where they are too close to the glass. Burning up in 3 years??? Doubtful. If anything it will thermal throttle.
