these aren’t real piercings that someone can get. even with normal dermals, none of those are in a place where you could safely get a dermal piercing, let alone get it pierced at such a large gauge. nobody even makes jewelry like that for dermals, they’re too small. i know it’s all fake and you probably do too, but it was bothering me in the video and i saw your comment and just needed to say this. i feel strongly about piercings as i am autistic and fucking cannot stand when people get them wrong like they did in the video lol

@@_meddarune_ It's self harm because these are essentially open wounds, while yes this is a fictional character with fake issues. Actual dermal piercings are all about essentially making an open wound that can't close, The epidermis (skin) is your number one defense against bacteria, And when pus and sores are affecting it, that means the body is trying to remove a foreign object/infection. Each piercing, even ones on the ears. Are prone to higher cases of infection and disease. Earrings are just less of an issue because the locations they go through are the lobes, which aren't very vascular. But something like a septum or brow tend to get pus filled often because they're in or around sensitive organs. So yes, this counts as medically assisted self harm.

There is so much pus, infection, being squeezed out of the holes on the back, the person's head, and the girls face.. I'm surprised that both of them aren't in the hospital with an IV antibiotic.. Or at least requiring each of them in getting a tetanus shot...who knows... but by the look of all that pus and infection that was squeezed out of all those holes on the bodies of all three people they're in serious bad shape

I do think there's a difference between glorifying something that's bad for your health and just showing it. In this case I appreciate that the piercings are treated as important to the characters while also acknowledging it's a bad idea to follow suit because a lot can go wrong with such piercings. That is such a cool animation I have several dermals myself and I love them and I do them myself. Never had this problem. But it is easy to wack them on something or hit one just enough to were they get red and irritated and can cause a infection. Now I have had a couple in the past reject. But that's normal bc your body is telling you there's a foreign object and it is fighting it by rejecting it. ! But such a cool video !!
